This crew never lets this girl down! Dream team! The crew in the kitchen deserves some serious ????????????????????????!!! High quality food, drinks, and most of all, service! Kevin, Mario, Rafa, Juan, Carlos & the entire team are like FAMILY! I’ve come here for over 5 years! If this business has been through the pandemic and still thrived, I hope that speaks VOLUMES about their food, service and mission!

Please let these wonderful guys have more PONCHO SHIRTS!!!! They look SLICK! Elevated waitstaff making your business go round and looking GOOD while DOING IT! These are your most valuable assets (and I’m in commercial real estate)!! Great work with this concept! You’ve done an amazing job through the years!
We came for a Sunday brunch and loved it. Great break food, mimosa, and a variety of crafted light drinks. The food was great, so were the drinks and service. We will definitely be back to try out their regular menu.
Alma to go Is a no. Felt robbed. Asked for bean and cheese nachos. They gave me what seemed to be 3 tortillas cut up with beans and slices of cheese from store on it.(not on menu) since NOM,they charged me for deluxe steak nachos(which are $18????)nothing deluxe about it. no steak no meat. Not even 5 dollars in cheese or tortillas. Blew my mind. Called to complain(respectfully )man hung up in my face. After asking if there was a mischarge?! So I Called back to hear “oh sir well that will be the same price. Bss. Said thats FN crazy and hung right up on them.now I’m here.That’s insane. This place use to be top tier and respectable. Serving the real heights community????????️ tax and disrespect are their principles now. Owner sold out ????????♂️ won’t be back sad to say after 20 plus years and going with my dad as a kid. Sad to see!!! could’ve got a quesadilla stack ????????♂️
For a casual Saturday brunch, we landed at Alma’s on Shepherd. Parking is a challenge with all of the construction. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. The Ritas are tasty and over priced. We ordered red and green chilaquiles with fajita and barbacoa. The green order was too tangy and the red wasn’t spicy enough for me. The queso flameado wasn’t hot enough either.
Service was timely and pleasant.
I’d go back but order something different.

This place has a cozy vibe with great seating options inside or on their large patio. The staff is very friendly, which is always appreciated. Their collection of menu items to choose from are all delicious - I especially recommend the stuffed avocado with chicken. It was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were exceptional together.
This location is wheelchair accessible, though the entrance to the restroom area is a bit strange.
Great food and frozen margaritas. The Paloma ad spicy cucumber margarita where watered down or bartender forgot to add the tequila. But the service and food is great and food comes out fast!! Great chips and salsa also.
What a find! Great Mexican food, with Houston top 10 category margaritas, tamales, tacos and enchiladas. Sat at the bar for the heck of it and had knockout service from Mario. What an enjoyable way to spend our Friday evening. We’ll be back!
I had the fajitas, everything it came with was great but the meat was not my favourite part.
Blood orange margarita was super flavourful.
Service was excellent. Good value.
My improvement would be the chairs, not very comfortable. My husband also said it was hard to find parking as their car park was full.
