We come here every once in a while. The parking is atrocious on a Friday or any day during the weekend, for that matter. So, the hassle isn't really worth it. We didn't want to drive into Humble or Houston, so we came by. The wait was about 20 minutes. The waiter was not good at all. I asked for water with lemon and was given lemonade. The menu is like a heavy spiral bound book, and they don't really have a lot of options to choose from. Aside from that, our food took forever to come out, and even though we ran out of chips and salsa, the waiter never checked in on us or offered to refill our drinks. No silverware or condiments when served our food and lastly my flautas were dry and the chicken inside was burnt to a crisp, they literally threw a slither of chicken milanesa cut into a strip and fried that and served it up. I was so taken back by what they gave me. My husband asked to speak with a manager. They didn't even apologize. She (manager) just asked if I wanted something else. I requested fajita nachos, and that took another 30 minutes for them to bring out. My family was done eating, and I was still waiting on my nachos. When the manager finally brought my food, she apologized and said they were really busy back there. Nachos are super quick to throw together, so there is no excuse. When we got the bill, they still charged us for the nachos when they should have replaced their burnt flautas at no cost to us. The service is trash here, and food is either bland or burnt. We won't return for mediocre poorly executed mexican food. This place needs new management, better trained cooks, and servers.
Placed an order and had it delivered. Must say that the presentation was beautiful! But it ended there. I ordered the shrimp in the half pineapple. When I peeled the foil back I was excited. Quickly let down. Needless to say the fries should’ve been in a separate bag because the rice, salad and steam from all of the flings on from the pineapple quickly made the fries soggy. But I did not have high hopes for them anyway. The only reason I’m writing the review is for the shrimp. How and why do you split til he shrimp and still not clean them? I don’t care how much I pay I do expect that and this dinner was worthy of clean shrimp. There was one that was clean that I tried and it had no seasoning.
Seen reviews that basically said good food lousy service. Not in my visit. We went early but both were top notch. Ok it won't get a Michelin star but it was very good..

**Experience Summary:**
I didn’t like eating at Alma Latina. They didn’t bring me a kids’ menu, even though my parents asked for one. I felt left out because I had to share my mom’s menu instead of getting my own.
**Food:**
When my food came, it was really small. I ordered shrimp, but there were only three little pieces! It wasn’t enough, and I was still hungry after. They gave more fries than shrimp, which seemed unbalanced. The rice portion was quite large compared to the shrimp.
**Service:**
The service was disappointing. We ran out of chips, and even though they asked if we wanted more, they didn’t bring any until my dad had to ask again. It also took a long time to fix our bill, and my parents had to talk to several people about it.
**Ambiance:**
The ambiance did not make up for the poor service and small portions. It didn’t feel like they cared about me or my family.
**Overall:**
I don’t want to go back because it didn’t feel like they cared about me or my family. The experience was not enjoyable, and I left feeling hungry and frustrated.
Love this place. Every time I'm craving Mexican food, this place is the first one to come to my mind. The food is great and flavorful. The staff is great and helpful when it comes to making choices when you don't know what to get. If you're ever in the mood for Mexican food, I suggest you try it. You won't regret it.

The food is fantastic! The atmosphere is so lovely. My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday, and they had karaoke, and I had a great weekend!
This Resturaunt is one of my Favorite, if i suggest a resturaunt to someone new to the area this is where i send them, i do suggest Happy hour when their slow a tad early, but thats not because of slow staff they give a good deal on their margaritas which are properly strong. i do belive they have an edge on Los Cucos in the taste and portion size of their food. Seafood is delitful. VERY nice on the patio when baseball season is opening in the Spring.
NEW TO THIS REVIEW. THIS PLACE HAS LOST 2 STARS OF FOOD QUALITY IN MY OPINION . BE IT SELECTION OF THE FOOD OR LOWER GRADE MEAT BEING SOLD THIS USED TO BE THE BEST FAJITAS AROUND AND I DONT BELIEVE THAT IT IS ANYMORE.
THERE WAS A TIME WHEN I COMPARED THIS PLACE TO EL CHAPPEREL IN SAN ANTONIO THEY ARE NUMBER 1 IN THE WORLD I LIVE IN THIS PLACE WAS EASY TOP 3 AND CLOSE FOR A GOOD AMOUNT OF TIME ITS STILL GOOD JUST NOT 100% ANYMORE ILL STILL EAT THERE
