Best WLM Reviews
Our experience at Alma was overall a very good one. Entrees were great (especially the arctic char), petit fours, sides, and appetizers were fun, and desert was a nice send off.
Service was nice and always pleasant. However, the service in some ways felt inexperienced and could have maybe been a little attentive. But I wouldn’t hold these against them as one of our waiters was in training.
The atmosphere was great with dimmed lights and very cozy.
We’ve since tried the cafe and I don’t have much to say except that it was great, albeit with a very different style and atmosphere.
The ambience of this place is romantic; the seats are comfortable, the staff make you feel like they have been waiting for YOU to arrive. They are personable and the restaurant has it down to the details.
The food was pretty good. I’ll admit that there were times where I felt like the food was good but not memorable. But there were some shining stars in the cheese, the soup, the Yukon potatoes, and the miso-toffee cake with date gelato. I was a little worried at the start that the plates were too small to fill us up, but it was just the right amount of food. Personally, I didn’t like the salad; they weren’t kidding when they named the salad bitter greens. Overall though, Would recommend.
This was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the Twin Cities. We came here for our anniversary and had the tasting menu. Every single thing we had was absolutely incredible, both food and drinks. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. They even gave us a free glass of wine to celebrate our anniversary. If any part of you is considering eating here, I promise you it is worth it.
Food was excellent and the menu was explained well.
We enjoyed our anniversary here and definitely look forward to going back.
The vegetarian menu can be made vegan, just add notes to your reservation.
Wonderful place! I tried the cheddar scones, chocolate croissant, and fruit galette, along with their house brew. The pastries were some of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly baked.
However, there was an issue with the mobile ordering system. I ordered additional items using the tabletop scan code, but the food didn’t arrive for nearly 15 minutes. I had to show the staff my digital receipt before they brought it over with an apology. It seems their mobile ordering system either isn’t working properly or the staff might overlook phone orders. Otherwise, really good cafe.
My brother took us here for his birthday. The service and food were excellent and the restaurant itself was much larger than it appeared initially. half of us were vegetarian and those options looked just as apprising as the non-vegetarian options. There were many corses over a decent amount of time so be prepared to spend over an hour or more. The best thing on the menu was the desert at the end which had an enticing blend of crème fresh and ice cream that wasn’t too sweet. Will definitely come back here again as it was a memorable evening for everyone.
This is a quaint restaurant with a high-end tasting menu. You start your journey at the concierge booth, which also doubles as hotel check-in. They escort you through large doors and seat you immediately, assuming you made reservations in advance. Our server was very attentive to our needs and explained the pairing for each of the courses we had. The food was definitely a journey for you palate. The caliber of the kitchen is topnotch! The kitchen is open and right next to the dining area, and we didn't hear a peep out of the chefs. That just shows you the quality of professionalism they have. Smooth and running like a well-oiled machine. I would highly recommend celebrating a special occasion with Alma!
Exquisite fine dining. Tasting menu was fall themed and absolutely stunning. Pricey, but its an experience worth paying for.
