I’m not sure why this is a new trend, but I’ve noticed that many nail salons will try to do both a pedi & a dip at the same time. This salon was no different, and it felt a bit rushed. I get soaking the dip while getting a pedi…but to have to lean over the chair in an uncomfortable position to get my nails done was a bit much. The whole reason I get my nails done is so I can relax…
During my pedicure, my big toe was cut, and I have since received an infection from that. Additionally, the dip was done so thin that my nail broke only a couple of days after getting them done. The dip was so poorly applied, that it was on my cuticles, and in the edges of my nails, and is now starting to chip off as I go about my day-to-day activities. The dip color was running low & the edges of my nails were not covered completely. The edges were rough on my nails, and overall I felt like they just wanted to get done. I went in for a basic pedicure and a dip. When the nail tech offered a design, I was excited that that could be done, but I was unaware of the cost. That’s on me, as I should’ve asked, but it might be good practice to mention that when offering the service. But I was confused as to why the design was done after the topcoat, and I left with design that had powder put on top of it, and felt rough to the touch… And in just a couple of days, the powder has rubbed off. For two simple nail treatments, I paid $113… Before tip.
I have been getting my nails done in salons for nearly 30 years… So I know a good pedicure and manicure when I get one. Although I have yet to find the right salon in Kansas City, I can assure you that this Salon is not the one.
I’m relatively new to the shop but I love it. The shop itself is really nice. There are plenty of chairs for pedicures without being on top of each other and the amount colors offered is crazy!! Staff is friendly and the services offered is plentiful. I go there to see Nina she’s amazing. The photos attached are some of my nail designs she’s done. She’s a total professional if you want something fancy or basic she’s your girl. Her attention to detail is on point. Her pedicures and toe designs are just as good as nails I just don’t have any pictures. These pictures are good but don’t do her talent justice.
My nails were decent. I asked for a dip but got a powder. Was charger for a powder with bubbles. $15 to shape. Way more costly than expected. Oh and my eyebrows are crooked ????
I visited this salon a week ago. I love my white gel polish manicure and pedicure. However, I noticed my gel polish has been peeling off since last week. My fingernails were longer so I cut them to help reduce the peeling of the gel polish. I got up this morning and my gel polish is chipped... again.
The gel polish on my right big toe is chipped, too. It hasn't been a month since I've worn my new gel polish mani/pedi set. Why is the polish chipping off so fast?
I'll call this salon to have my nails fixed. The staff was professional, but I'm dissatisfied with my nails because if the constant chipping.
The nail tech I had was rude and didn’t care what I asked for. I had to constantly keep him on track. He was super argumentative & defensive. I was there for over an hour and was charged $60 for a FILL with ONE gel color on the tips. It’s been 3 days and my polish is already chipping.
My 2nd time back and I can honestly say Brian does perfect nails . I went 3 weeks without a fill and people were still complimenting my nails . The men that work there does quality pedis . I found my new nail techs yay ????
My pedicure is fine thats the only reason I’m giving at least 2 stars. I got a fill and it is horrible. It hasn’t been a full 7 days and 2 nails are chipping and another nail is lifting. I can normally go 3 weeks without getting a fill. I’m not rough on my hands. I will not be returning
I've been going here for a little bit after my favorite nail place closed.
I took some time away from Allure because I wasn't satisfied. I just recently came back. This is my 3rd dip and I'm not happy. My cuticles were tore up and 2 nails are were messed up. This is just my experience. I've heard others have had a very good experience.
