I attempted to dine her after a long trip. The hotel is conveniently located at the bottom of the Bernic Hotel. The server's behavior was unkind and unpleasant. The hostess sat me without giving me a menu. When the server approached my table, he asked what my beverage of choice was. I mentioned I didn’t have a menu yet. He grabbed the drink-only menu after giving me a few minutes to decide. He returned, asking for my choice of beverage. I told him I would love also to have the food menu. He went back, got me a menu, and walked away.
It was my first time to sit at a restaurant without being given a menu.
Fast forward to the meal. It came quickly. However, it wasn’t hot. It was at room temperature. My dish tasted good even though it wasn’t hot.
In my opinion, someone who works in hospitality should be pleasant.
I charged the bill to my room and found out at check out that the restaurant added a twenty percent tip without authorization. I’m glad I took a copy of the bill.
Not only is the service terrible, but also dishonest.
My family and I recently had the pleasure of having lunch at Allora, located at 145 47th E Street in NYC. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance that set the tone for an exceptional experience.
To start, we were treated to a complimentary selection of appetizers that included crispy fried zucchini, spicy green peppers in olive oil, savory salami, and delectable bites of parmigiano reggiano.
I opted for the seafood pasta, which was a delightful dish of fresh seafood and perfectly cooked pasta in a rich and flavorful sauce. It was evident that only the finest ingredients were used.
My family enjoyed the chicken parmigiana and scallops, both of which were cooked to perfection. The parmigiana was rich and hearty and the scallops were cooked beautifully in red sauce, accompanied by a side of creamy mashed potatoes that complemented their delicate flavor wonderfully.
The service throughout our meal was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that our needs were met promptly and with a smile. The ambiance of the restaurant was both elegant and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for a family meal or a special occasion.
Overall, our experience at Allora was nothing short of outstanding. The combination of exquisite food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit restaurant in NYC. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their delicious menu.
Amazing Italian food and enjoyable service.
A lot of old school charm and a strong bread game. All the staff are very well dressed and the vibe is elegant and relaxed.
One to repeat.
:)
Superb outstanding food, drinks, and service. Everything about this restaurant is top shelf, top notch. All the food is excellent and the drinks are some of the best in the city. Two big thumbs up!
Absolutely enjoyed my lunch at Allora - Andrea helped me with my order and she was so welcoming
I loved the lobster bisque and their seabass it was delicious and ofcourse i had to end it with a red velvet cake for dessert!
Would definitely recommend if you are in the area
My wife and I LOVE authentic Italian cuisine. This place is it!! The service is outstanding. The Caesar’s salad is made table side and was fantastic! Tagliatelle was our delicious entree made with baby shrimp and basil. We had an awesome experience!!!!
Like everyone else says, the customer service here is definitely the best. Very friendly, fun, NY Italian style and very very attentive. You definitely enjoy going there alone or with big group. There is a bar area for quick dinner or drinks too. I saw lots of solo diners.
I went with a friend and We had full dinner and the soft shell crab was Amazing!!!! I would go back there just for that. Their famous looooong pasta with meatballs was also amazing. Only down side was the dessert. They probably don’t have proper dessert chef. I say just get grappa for dessert and that should be sufficient.
Lovely fun place to go.
We stayed at The Bernic hotel and Allora is the connected restaurant. Walking in, the atmosphere was nice and service great/friendly. I’m not sure what we were expecting, but when we tasted our caprese, melon with prosciutto and squid ink/seafood ravioli, we were blown away. A hidden gem.
