This is the best diner ever. I’ve been going here since I was a teenager and am now in my 30s, and I’m telling you they have been consistently excellent forever. Food is cooked perfectly and is delicious, staff is friendly, and prices are completely reasonable.
Been a few years since I've been in the 'Cuse last. This quaint little diner has to be somewhat newer (at least it was to me). Ordered the Fretta and Eggs Benedict and both were excellent! Good portions and great flavor without the greasy spoon feeling afterwards. They were busy but not uncomfortably busy. Definitely a nice place to go on a damp fall Sunday AM in CNY!
Great casual ambiance and great service. Reasonably priced and very clean. Hollandaise sauce tasted good and eggs poached as ordered.
I only rate it 1 star because the food is just not it I would definitely give this place a second go but after they make drastic improvements, to start it off my home fries tasted like it was from the day prior the bacon was too crispy and I love crispy bacon but it was just too much and my French toast was most definitely overcooked and dry on the inside the atmosphere is great the servers are nice but the food isn’t how it used to be. I wish you guys the best keep trucking
I don't know where to start! We were waited on quickly and with a smile. The food was great and cooked the way I like, the decor is uber adorbs and the name Egg Plant is a fun play on words! I have never been here and I will definitely be back!
Our first visit today will likely be our last. We found the atmosphere fine and our waitress was superb. However, the bottom line for any restaurant is the food. I opted for a late breakfast of eggs Benedict and home fries. The hollandaise was tasteless, I may as well have had a poached egg with overcooked ham on an english muffin. The home fries were burnt and bitter. My girlfriend ordered what amounted to a bacon cheeseburger and the burger was dry and completely unseasoned. The bun it came on was hard and dry...and toasted on top of that. To end it all, her mountain dew ($3.25) was flat and came in a mere 10oz cup.
Kudos for the great service but the poor meal was simply too much to overcome to make us want to return.
A typical American breakfast restaurant, the hospitality and delicious food make you want to go again.
Dinner in a plaza with oak everywhere. Hometown diner with the basics and them everything you want to eat! Great staff and good food. They even ask if you want onions in your home fries - YES of course!
