I’ve been a patient for 22 years. The last 5 years, I have been extremely disappointed, but I have stayed because I really love my provider. Today’s experience was the absolute worst.
There is a greeter in the building lobby. He is a super kind young man in a wheelchair. He snagged me and started asking me riddles and holding my hand, and I tried to politely move on after a minute or 2. I did finally, and went into the office to check in. Although my info is all on file, it kept asking for insurance info. My type of insurance was not listed (after searching for a couple minutes through the long list.) I gave up and went to the window to check in. She wouldn’t check me in and sent me back to the kiosk and said to just select a random one from the list and then scan my card. I did so and had to enter all the info that is already on file. Over 10 minutes to get checked in because we can’t just check in with the front desk staff. Finally done, I sat down.
Megan called me up and told me she would have to reschedule me because I was over 10 minutes late, which is their policy. I explained I had been there and trying to get checked in for at least 10 minutes…that I had talked to her more than 5 minutes ago, while having trouble. She refused to make an exception and gave me the managers phone number. She’s conveniently out of the office.
I get it, if I had just rolled in at that time…but I was in the office trying to get checked in.
I love that if you are over 10 minutes late, they will cancel you. But they will make you wait 30 minutes or more once in the exam room.
Patty Cirani is a great provider. The office management is terrible.
Left 3 voicemails for this office to call me back to schedule an appointment and never received a call back. Used to be a patient here years ago, and it was never this hard to get through to someone. I believe patient care should be more accessible and shouldn’t be this difficult to make a routine appointment.
I have been a patient of this practice for over 30 years. I was always happy with their services. When Covid hit they canceled my appointment. Since then I have on numerous occasions tried to make an appointment for a well visit. They never have even called back. What disrespect they have for patients they have had for years.
I am new to the area and was referred to this office by my General Practitioner. The most unprofessional first interaction from a doctor's office ever. The first scheduling agent was nasty and advised Dtr Maynard retired years ago. I advised that only needed an appt and she hung up. Called back and was hung up on. If the office is run like the scheduling dept I feel sorry for anyone that goes there. I will find another office.
STORY TIME - I will NEVER step foot in this doctor’s office again! I’ve been with this office for years. I scheduled a visit for a breast exam. My appointment was for 3:15pm EST I arrived exactly at 3:25pm EST. The office has kiosk that you have to check in on. The kiosk was acting up and had me waiting a few minutes at check in to load my info. It never loaded. The front desk receptionist even acknowledged that that particular kiosk had been acting up. She offered to check me in and then I went to go sit down. About 5 minutes later the same receptionist called me up to front and said they will have to cancel my appointment because I was 3 minutes later over the 10 minute wait policy. When I advised her I was there exactly at 3:25pm EST. She continued to act like she didn’t care and stated the provider said that she will still not see me. Nancy Welch is the doctor I was scheduled to see. The fact that they treated me like this I was pissed. Especially after all the times I’ve arrived on time and waited 20 minutes at times to be seen by the doctor. So her time is valuable and mines is not. A damn shame. The only reason why I was late was because I live 45 minutes away, it started to rain and I took my time on the road because of the conditions. If it wasn’t for that I would have been on time. THEY NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ME STEPPING FOOT IN THAT OFFICE OR RECOMMENDING ALL ABOUT WOMEN TO ANY! I pray they do better in the future. Lastly I miss my old OBGYN who was in this office and moved away. She would have never ever done this to her patients. If you’re thinking about making this office your new OBGYN office DON’T. They showed me today who they really are and because of that I do not trust them with my health concerns. No empathy at all!
I have been a patient with this practice for about 6 years and it started out great but when they got taken over it went down hill FAST. Noone responds to messages, noone picks up the phone so you can NEVER talk to someone and whats frustrating is that the Office Manager could care less. My appointment was cancelled after being scheduled a whole year ago and says someone will reach out to reschedule, that was days ago and I can't get anyone to call me back. This office is the Absolute worse I've ever dealt with ever. Trust me, do NOT go here!
Waited 8 months for my first appointment at this office, only to get an email the week prior that they cancelled my appointment. Cancelation email says to rebook via the portal with no link to do so in the email and no portal to be found online… I call to hopefully reschedule and got their voicemail as normal. No call back within 48 hours as stated on their voicemail. Getting a hold of this office is a joke. How can a doctors office run like this? It’s a shame because I’ve heard great things about the doctors but can’t even get a human on the phone to reschedule an appointment that they cancelled with no explanation.
Love my provider but dang getting through to the front desk is a nightmare and a time consuming process. They left me a message while I was on vacation that they needed to cancel my appointment so I needed to call to reschedule. They forced me to leave a message and told me they have 2 days to call me back. Let the phone tag begin. My opinion is that the front office needs an over haul and some process improvement.
