They’re a joke. From the very beginning of my pregnancy they have dropped the ball on everything. From appointments, to blood work and more. The doctor tried to scare me out of having a VBAC at my first appointment, they messed my genetics test because “they’re phlebotomist was out sick” and so my results were messed up when they made me go to the main hospital and get my blood work myself. They call you over and over to schedule appointments and sound so rude when they leave you a voicemail because you couldn’t answer their phone call.
They can’t keep their own appointments in check. I had to tell them when my ultrasounds were done because they don’t communicate in their own offices and tried to tell me I “got the wrong one”. Tried to tell me I had appointments when I didn’t and when I called to verify they Told me I did and when I showed up they said “yeah, you don’t have one today”
I transferred to a different hospital because I’m already tired of their bullcrap. If they can’t communicate and can’t get their crap together I don’t trust them to deliver my baby.
I have delivered 2 of my children here in the past and everything was fine besides getting a smart remark from a night nurse when I was in pain literally a couple of hours after the c-section. This time I am pregnant and was going to continue to go here and they have been so rude and lazy with my care, my chart and super disrespectful. One doctor (no names will be mentioned) illegally drug tested me but was proved wrong at her expense bc I am clean???? one midwife kept cancelling my appointments and basically harassed me into getting a fetal echo done when the heart was fine and they could see everything on the screen, not once did any of them show care or acknowledge that the cord was around the baby’s neck 2 times! I started going to UPMC women’s magee and then Weirton calls me and acts like they just found out about the cords but knew since my first ultrasound, now they have cancelled my appointment and everything from so on and will be getting better care and meeting great people, ever since my last pregnancy in 2021 Weirton in general has gone down hill, all these doctors which there’s only like 5 now are sketchy and don’t care about anything. One won’t stop pressuring you into getting your tubes tied, I have came to realization I wouldn’t let him touch me with a needle, they don’t seem to know what they’re doing anymore. Every issue I had so far I literally diagnosed myself and had to go somewhere else for the care, make sure if you choose to continue here, check your results and chart and keep track of everything. They are changing my results and visit summaries everyday now as if I don’t have screenshots. If I could I would sue for how I been treated and being illegally drug tested. It’s a shame. It hasn’t been a good place since Adam Corcovillos the surgeon left.
I just had my baby a few weeks ago and was with AAW from day one of this pregnancy. Besides some scheduling issues, everything was pretty great. I loved the doctors, loved the nurses, and the care I received (for a very difficult delivery) was wonderful. Everyone listened to my concerns and questions and took me seriously, even when I called after hours a couple of times! :)
A special thank you to Dr Lamonde and Dr Carmona! I really feel like they were there for me and advocated for me and my concerns.
And a thank you to Dr Luisa who delivered my baby and worked quickly and efficiently when things got scary. Thanks to him, my baby and I are healthy and happy.
Dr. Gilman is a fatphobe, but at least she prescribed the medications I need. Dr. Lamonde won't order it anymore and I've been on it since 2009. She doesn't even know what I'm taking it for and won't listen to me. Also the 1st thing she asked me is if I'm on a diet and exercise program. I'm done with this place.
I am still a new patient and resident in Ohio, so I can’t speak to everything yet, but I wanted to make this post specifically about Dr. Lamonde.
A lot of the reviews I have seen about this place, as well as the 2 star rating, had me anxious, but so far my experiences have been good. Dr. Lamonde was the first doctor I saw a couple weeks ago. I moved from over 13 hours away, just weeks away from delivery, so this was definitely a stressful time. My first appointment with her immediately put me at ease. She was extremely nice & professional, and listened to me when it came to a problem I was having. My previous OB in SC kept prescribing one med, and it just kept coming back, her and the other doctor there I have seen immediately agreed after getting my results back I should be put on an oral med, and I finally feel better for the first time in over a month.
I don’t expect to see her again unless she delivers my baby (they want me to see as many members of the care team as possible so I have a chance at meeting everyone who may deliver him) but I am definitely going to go with her and only her for postpartum and normal OB care after baby is here.
I urge anyone who is anxious just by looking at these reviews, to keep in mind that more people make reviews about negative experiences, than positive ones, and if you’re looking for an OB, Dr. Lamonde is great.
That is all :)
We contemplated about our second pregnancy because we didn’t want to deal with “All About Women” again. I thought it couldn’t be any worse, boy was I wrong. First, the front desk is a mixture of the worst people you will ever meet. They have no clue how to treat other human beings. Next, the place is disgusting. Nothing ever seems to be clean and don’t get me started about the collection of urine samples that get left in the bathroom for the next patient to see. Lastly, some of the staff is fantastic. The UT is really good at her job, some of the doctors are great as well. On the other hand, one of the doctors is completely ignorant. Image being exposed on a table and your doctor comes in the room on FaceTime with someone but it is “ok, my buddy is a doctor”. Unacceptable. We are either going to find a new place. That will accept us at 28 weeks pregnant or give birth on a day that he is not working. Wait a great way to experience pregnancy…
First pregnancy. I knew something was off. After 7 weeks I started bleeding Friday. It is now Tuesday and still no call back. Even though i called multiple times. The nurse had no human decency to call me to let me know what to do. I had a miscarriage on Friday after I went to the emergency room I’m Weirton. Dr sing was amazing. He showed more compassion in the few hours that I was there than my own doctors office who I have gone to for years. Brady is amazing. I had nothing but good luck with her, but when I switch to the OB side. I was just another number. I spoke with the office manager to tell her my concerns she had no clue what was going on. I will never go back there and I hear nothing but bad things anymore. They used to be great. Idk what happened. You all have no compassion. And need better staff.
The doctors at AAW are poor excuse for doctors. They don't listen to their patients or care about their issues. I have Kelly Devooge when she worked for AAW and most recently Tina Cutone. Neither took my pain and issues seriously and just wanted me on birth control. Even though Tina Cutone was too incompetent to fill the order for the birth control, and when I told her I wanted a hysterectomy she told me I was too fat! I'm now seeing a real doctor in PA and she told me I am not to fat for a hysterectomy and we are going to get that scheduled! If you want a doctor that actually cares about your health don't go to AAW!
