Best WLM Reviews
Happy hour 4-6p. Tasty crafted cocktails, especially enjoyed my spicy “see you next Tuesday”. Sticky wings & tots were super satisfying! Definitely returning in the chilly, rainy future to experience their ramen.
Alkaline is a bold name for a ramen joint that outsources their noodles.
I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. Everything was appealing until I tasted it. Way oversalted (and I have a salty palate). Couldn't eat it. Had about three bites and gave up. The noodles didn't have those fresh, straight lines that fresh noodles have. I asked the staff if they make the noodles in house. They weren't sure. No condiments available for the ramen, and if there was, I was never offered them.
After I was served, no call back. No check to see how things were. I asked for the bill with a nearly full bowl. No one cared. Tab was $16.88, I left $22.
That was the shocking part; no one cared. Shucks. Bygones. I would be embarrassed if I worked in a restaurant and we let a person leave hungry.
Their new name should be Outsourced Noodles to let the ramen nuts know what's what.
There's no need to go there if you want ramen.
My favorite ramen spot in Hampton Roads (vegetarian biased). They are one of the few spots that serve a really flavorful vegetarian broth, it’s so good and it never gets old to me. Love to order the brussel sprouts as an appy and a hot pot of tea to wash it all down the staff are always nice and the music is forever slaps.
The brown butter miso cake is one of our favorite desserts of anywhere we've eaten period. I think the extra ice cream is unnecessary, but it doesn't take away from the dish if you get it. We'll come here just for dessert, it's that good. Plenty of parking on the lot and the traffic in the area isn't too bad.
We haven't had their Ramen in four or so years but when we had it was great.
I am only speaking on the ramen.
Not many options but the broth is flavorful and perfect. It’s a bit too much going on with the ramen for me personally. I prefer a traditional ramen.
The vibe is awesome and the bar is full with great options. The service is welcoming and fantastic. I’ll be coming back to try more food!
Delicious ramen and fantastic wait staff every time we have come here. Our waitress has been helpful answering our questions about what to get and offering recommendations since we are new to ramen. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Free parking lot that's shared with other businesses, and we haven't had any issues finding a spot. We have went for lunch and dinner and great experiences each time.
The vibe is amazing! The decor inside is really cool and the food is great! I don't remember the name of what I got, I just remember it had 3 chili peppers next to it on the menu and it was great!
Highly recommend the miso caramel cake. Service was a little slow, but the food was awesome and made up for it.
