Everyone here is SO nice. Except for the elderly gentleman that said "Don't these people know it's Thanksgiving? Tell them to leave!" Sir, I paid to be here. Sit down.???? We were celebrating my daughter's 13th birthday btw. So thank you for making us feel SO welcome.
Room was clean and staff was friendly. I never saw one bug inside , as I read in the reviews. The bed is kind of hard and the walls are thin. Good location and cheap price though ..so definitely has pros and cons
When we arrived they had no TV, no Internet, no communication. I went down to the front desk after we were told over the phone the booking was $89 but we're charged $129. I asked if they would work with us and the woman in the back just yelled no and left out a back door leaving the desk attendant holding the bag. I cancelled our trip reservations at that point. Upon going to our room, the sheets were filthy with dirt, pubic hair, by the head rest part of the bed. The room was dirty and the floor had a film over it with a slippery coat. My autistic daughter had a very difficult time on our stay as she couldn't use her communication device with no service available. Speaking to the gentleman again after all these issues he told me they would give us a discount on our over charged rate because the services they added additional charges for were unavailable, and we couldn't get clean sheets. Upon check out a different front desk attendant was rude when I let him know we were cancelling and didn't honor what the previous employee promised. Also charged us an additional 29 dollars for our room and added "marlin reserve protection fund" fees. I didn't agree to pay that and as an optional charge I wasn't even asked to begin with. Here is a picture of the sheets right under the pillow, absolutely disgusting, I ended up having to share my bed so my daughter didn't sleep in filth.
This is a great place for a quick getaway. The hotel is older but very, very clean rooms. Kudos to house keeping doing an amazing job. I would return just because rooms are so clean.
Very very rude and unprofessional customer service. Roaches in room. Electricity is out and Been out for several hours and they have not done anything about it. Purposely ignores my calls. Rooms smell disgusting. Do not stay here! Waste of money!!!
Last minute trip to the beach and decided to stay here. The front desk employee was very nice and the grounds keeper was also. But our room was not clean and had dirty rags laying around and the floor was definitely not swept or even mopped. Also wish there was more than one lock on the door up higher to avoid children opening it just by turning the handle. The pool was also pretty clean and well taken care of. Just wish the rooms were cleaner. For $80 you get what you pay for I guess.
Nice hotel, clean. Friendly attendants, the hot tub was amazing, strong jets, much needed, especially after a weekend on the beach. Small pool but nice. The bed was rather stiff, great if you like it that way. I don't which is why I bring a mattress topper, but that's my preference, so everything was great. The breakfast was also really good for a hotel. Omelets, sausage biscuits, fruit, yogurt, milk, bagels, "Texas" shaped waffles, etc. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.
What can I say, staying here made a vacation that was supposed to be an escape a hassle. When we got there we were not informed that the card we used caused issues so we ended up having to pay for the room twice and we still haven't received the hold on the first card back yet (also happened to 2 other families that came with us). Our AC unit leaked all over the inside of our room getting into suitcases and backpacks and the solution was free washer and dryer services, they ended up having to replace the AC unit in our room after it caught fire and filled the room with smoke and made the fire alarms go off. Beds were hard as rocks with thin sheets on them, that’s something I can deal with usually but with everything else that happened it just added onto the awful stay. we inquired about a refund or even a partial refund because staying in a tent on the beach would have been less stressful but basically got laughed at. Not to mention our last day of the stay spectrum was down and we didn’t have Internet or TV till 10pm that night we cut our trip short the next day. Would love to have a conversation with the owner.
