Best WLM Reviews

I have never been to an authentic Wisconsin fish fry until now. Friends of mine brought me here to experience not only my first, but the best. I ordered the Combination Plate of fried shrimp, scallops, perch, and cod. All was delicious. Their homemade Italian dressing is even great beyond salads for some GOOD bread dippin’. The interior is beautiful with a classic “supper club” appearance. Even better than the food and atmosphere is the wonderful staff that makes it worth coming to. There is such pride in their service and work over all. Customers are treated as home guests. Nothing beats that. Wonderful place.
Went for lunch today. My liver was really salty and soggy. My guest had eggplant parm which had no taste (no italian seasoning) and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. Waitress was just ok. Did not clear our salad plates when we had them set aside when the entreas arrived. If she asked us sooner about our meals we would of stated our concern sooner but was asked when we were almost done. I just mentioned the salty liver (which I only ate half of) and i didn't feel like complaining anymore after that. The restaurant was almost empty and all I seen her doing was talking to her coworkers most of the time hence the ok part. Dinner salads were eh. First time there and not planning to go back. I did enjoy the beautiful interior. Oh, and the bathrooms were in need of cleaning which I didn't get since the staff didn't seem to be working much as far as I could see. Food was hot but lacked taste.
I am honestly not sure how this place is still in business or how it gets these five star reviews. I've given it two tries over the years and it's just not good. I could make a better frozen lasagna out of the box. It's very overpriced for the gross food you get. Service is terrible and if you complain about anything they will just write in their own tip to make sure they don't get docked for poor service, despite it not saying that gratuity is included anywhere. Avoid at all costs.
Alioto's never disappoints. We attended a Christmas Dinner Party in one of their halls and the food was very good. I had the Chicken Parmesan with Mostaccioli while my wife enjoyed the Tenderloin Tips with Noodles. The Bartender made outstanding cocktails which were flowing all night.
Horrible, disrespectful older man server. Arguing about how drinks are made. Waited 15 min to order food. Only went there to get gluten free fish fry because my wife is a celiac. This experience will make us NEVER go there again.
Had lasagne. Very blan. Boiled noodles put together without even baking. It was not good. Not good at all.
Amazing calamari and same prices as the chain restaurants, eating here is keeping it local ????
Fabulous Supperclub atmosphere. Food is amazing. I had Salmon with dill sauce on angelhair. Superb. Hubby had a great New York steak. Drinks are classic. Staff is most professional. Very comfortable seating. Bathrooms are immaculate and beautiful. They do have several banquet halls during constant use but you can’t hear them. Plenty of parking.
