Best WLM Reviews
Terrible terrible and TERRIBLE. I can’t think of a better word to describe the service at this place. I have been going here and recommending all of my family and friends here since I was in middle school.. I’m in college now. Today I went to get a wash, blow dry, and trim to maintain the health of my hair and avoid a lot of heat. To start, the lady kept trying to put unwanted treatments in my hair to charge me more. They only speak Spanish here so I couldn’t understand. I told her exactly what I wanted NO EXTRA TREATMENTS. She proceeded to put minimal water on my hair and try to comb my thick 4b hair with a rat tail comb. I told her that it hurts and it was taking my hair out. She proceeded to wash my hair without detangling further. This caused more tangles. Then she put conditioner in and tried to detangle with the rat tail comb again. She rinses my hair and takes me to put the roller set in. She kept trying with the rat tail comb. I told her that I need a wide tooth comb and she did not understand so I showed a picture. She found one and started to use it. She then turned me away from the mirror so she could continue using the thin comb thinking I would not feel or see. My roots were still tangled and so much hair was pulled out of my scalp. I asked for someone else to do my hair. The manager finally came from the back and she speaks English which meant the initial lady lied saying nobody there spoke English. I went to go sit under the dryer and they left me there for over an hour.. way longer than usual. I finally got from under it and went to let the manager finish. She proceeded to repeatedly run that HOT blow dryer over my hair several times. Then she said my hair was longer on one side. Mind you, I only let them cut my hair and it was even last time. I asked her to make it even. I then noticed when I finally looked in a mirror that the side she claimed was longer was now inches short than the other side. She attempted to add layers which I didn’t ask for and it was so uneven all over. I absolutely will never be back and neither will my family and friends. I advise anybody who doesn’t speak English or is Black to stay away as they will talk about you behind your back and will charge extra for the thickness of your hair.. something I cannot control. PLEASE if you want to maintain the health of your hair, get what you deserve for a good price, and see professional, THIS IS THE WRONG PLACE!!!
I’ve had such good experiences in the past here. I went earlier this year and got a blow out. I asked for a deep condition. That was the biggest mistake. Everything seemed fine until a few weeks later I washed my hair and it has a horrible chemical, rotten egg smell. And there were pieces that looked shorter than others and ones that were straighter. I went to another hairstylist who confirmed that some of my keratin treatment or relaxer was put in my hair. They definitely put a chemical in the conditioner and I was so upset. Never going back and I’d recommend bringing your own products if you go.
my hair was completely fried when i left my ends of my hair was so crispy and literally breaking off when i touched it. they most definitely had to put perm in there products because my NATURAL CURLY HAIR IS NOW STRAIGHT. also i got a “trim” and she cut my hair uneven. never coming back. EVER AGAIN
This place deserves a 0!!!! My mother took my daughters here to get a wash, blow dry, and flat iron. Initially at first look everything looked fine till a few weeks later when I washed and did there hair. There was a rotten egg smell that you only smell from relaxers or lye. They had straight pieces of hair and there curls were damaged. I couldn’t figure it out. Till I googled and learned that these Dominican salons put lye in there conditioner to make hair that is to hard for them to deal with easier. I was in shock and pissed ???? to say the least. My daughters were natural and now there hair is damaged from being chemically treated. Never Never Ever again will they go to a salon period. This place is negligent and unprofessional.
My hair looked great. Got a blow out and trim. However, it's been 3 weeks and I've washed my hair 3 times since and it still have a burned or product smell to it. I can't get rid of it. My hair reverted back to curly so no complaints about heat damage. But other than that everything is good
So I tried this place after seeing 2-3 videos on tiktok about their wash and blow special. I went on a Tuesday around 5pm, called beforehand to make an appointment and was informed they only take walk ins. Once inside, nobody spoke, just looked T you while they continued to do hair. I figured to sign the sheet as a walk in and sat down. 15-20 minutes go by and a lady in the back is yelling out “NEXT” I guess for people to come back to start washing. After being washed, I was placed under the dryer, It was sooo many women in the back just sitting under the dryer (at least 8). I sat there for an hour and 30mins, mind you the dryer was never turned on. Finally called to the front (after they said come on to 2 other women that came jn BEHIND ME), I informed her it never dried my hair and my time has been wasted sitting here for 2 hours now. The bigger lady (I believe who is Alina) begin to speak in Spanish saying rude things as if no one else understands Spanish.
Overall, please listen to all of these negative reviews, I overlooked it to try something new but worst experience ever. Not a clean salon, no professionalism and no respect for people time.
Alina’s used to be my place when I lived here.. I moved to GA 5 years ago and came home to visit, needed my hair done in a pinch, remembered they do walk-ins… they SLAYED my hair. It’s the same awesome place I remember. They’ve always taken great care of my hair, trim the minimum, and have me leaving the shop, smiling ear to ear. Gracias para mí pelo bonita!
I use to come here very often but after my last visit , it will be just what I said my LAST visit. Their hairstylists are very rude and unprofessional. They talk about you in Spanish as if there aren’t people who know Spanish. Even when you give them a tip there was no gratitude. They have significantly declined over the years.
