Alice's Tea Cup has been one of my favorite spots in New York since I moved here 10 years ago. It’s such a friendly, cozy place that feels like part of the neighborhood. When I first came to the city, I visited with my girlfriends and family, and it quickly became a special place for us. I’ve made so many great memories there—it really feels like home.
The staff is always warm and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Their scones are amazing—seriously, they’re the best I’ve ever had—and the tea is always perfect. My favorite is their White Champagne tea. It’s elegant, floral, and so refreshing. I get it every time I visit!
Alice’s Tea Cup is the kind of place that you keep coming back to, whether it’s for a casual tea break or to celebrate something special. It’s one of those spots that just makes you happy. Highly recommend!
Hi quality tea ???? desserts, atmosphere & service! Whether you’re looking for a place to spend quality time with loved ones, indulge on sweets or simply enjoy a mindful moment to connect with yourself over a nice a cup of tea, this place is just wonderful!
Full of wonder & magical treats!
The vintage Singer sewing machines turned into tables are so cool! Love the vibes!
Feeling like Alice in wonderland!
The restaurant smells old and dusty. The tables are sticky. Overall, it feels like it’s dirty. The burrito was properly not good. I had one bite and I was too grossed out to have another. Positive: the buttermilk scone was very good and so was the Alice Tea Blend. Nevertheless, it’s not enough to make me go back there. Maybe to pickup a scone? Oh and it was insanely expensive for this type of place. I spent $55 for a burrito, scone and tea…
This place is a lovely tea parlor with real charm. The service is incredibly friendly and the food/tea are delicious! I ordered the Mad Hatter for me and my wife — totally recommend it for a full tea experience for two. We liked the Stardust and Rooibos Bourbon herbal teas we ordered. They have unique flavors that aren’t weak like most teas. The scones at this place are fantastic! We loved the Strawberry Raspberry scone and the Buttermilk Scone with jam and preserves. Definitely recommend the Ham & Gruyère sandwiches as well. The mocha cake was a perfectly sweet ending to our tea time. This place has a relaxing, welcoming, old-timey feel to it which is very charming. Highly recommend for tea or brunch!
Quaint little tea place with Alice in wonderland theme.
Ordered the nibble , the salmon sandwich is great, the pumpkin scone with jam and cream is simply amazing.
Nibble was a bit too much for a single person portion wise.
The place has an old world charm. If you want to be in a quiet place and enjoy a cup of tea with English style breakfast , this is the pace to be
I’ve been coming here for years, as I went to Hunter for undergrad right up the street. Had to include Alice’s for tea time during my bachelorette weekend with my bridesmaids. They have a wide variety of tea which is always bursting with flavor and I love their scones and little sandwiches. Highly recommend! ????
Love checking out tea spots in the city and was looking forward to coming here. It’s located in a nice area in the ues. I will say the decor wasn’t out of this world enchanting, and felt a little outdated. But I appreciate the Alice in Wonderland details all around.
We ordered the Madhatter which was more than enough for two people. If you don’t have much of a sweet tooth this may not be the ideal option as it was a lot but so amazing! The pastries may have been a bit dry but it still tasted good.
I love going out for afternoon tea. I had a groupon for the Mad Hatter for two which was offered at a $20 discount. The location is incredibly close to central park and I thought the pricing was incredibly reasonable for the location and portion size.
The tea service was delicious. Alice's selection of tea is incredibly extensive. I had the 44th FLOTUS which was fruity and rich, but there is such an impressive selection. For sandwiches we had egg salad and the curried chicken. I was pleased to see multiple vegetarian options. The tea offered three kinds of scones which change daily. Overall large portion sizes for tea and we ended up boxing some food to go.
Service was great, we were there on a warm Friday afternoon and were seated promptly with no reservation. Our server was attentive and everything arrived fast and as ordered.
The decor was fine. I don't think the first floor is as on theme as the upstairs. Some of our dishes were chipped which is unlucky in some cultures but overall a lovely experience.
