Let me just tell you:
LUZERNE:
This is a lemon cheesecake martini.
Created by zach.
Let me just tell you:
This martini will give you life altering hope
This place encapsulates change, hope, balance, and good vibes.
Zach created the best cocktails we have ever had, from two bartenders and long time servers.
It takes a lot to impress us but we will come back to Boston just for this insane martini.
Thank you Zach for your life altering beverage.
Alibi was great. So cool it used to be a prison. The food and drinks were both delicious, and portions were bigger than expected. Lamb pizza was sparse on the goat cheese but we asked for extra and they brought it. It was still good either way. Carbonara was so creamy with a good amount of pancetta. Service was prompt and our waitress was attentive. She switched my drink when I didn’t like the first. Wasnt seated near the bar, but there was definitely a lot of people by the time we left and the vibe seemed lively. They have outdoor seating. Downside… it is in a hotel and the only parking you’ll probably find is the hotel valet unless you take public transit or taxi/ride-share, or find parking elsewhere but don’t mind walking a little.
It is a fun prison themed bar speakeasy with outside space. The bar is hidden a little so makes it even more exclusive. The food was decent. The sliders were good but the steak and chicken on a stick was dry. The hot dogs had ketchup and mustard on them?! Come on.. it should only be mustard. We had standard bar fare so wasn’t blown away. I would come back for a drink.
Super cool/unique cocktail bar and history and architecture behind it is really interesting! The drinks were also delicious! We had an old fashioned, an espresso martini, and then one their seasonal drinks (Admissible In Court) and that one was honestly one of my favorite drinks I think I’ve ever had. We would definitely come back!
Zach was such a great bartender and has awesome mixology skills. He made both mocktails and cocktails that were delicious. The atmosphere and decor is awesome. A great dinner or late spot. Would totally recommend!
During my recent five-day stay at the Liberty Hotel in Boston, I had the pleasure of indulging in the remarkable cocktails at Clink. The friendly bartender suggested starting with "Your Handcuffs or Mine," which turned out to be a delightful and cleverly named concoction. The mix of flavors and presentation showcased the bartender's skill in crafting unique and tasty drinks.
Another standout was the "Orange is the New Black" cocktail, which not only caught my attention with its intriguing name but also impressed my taste buds with its harmonious blend of ingredients. The balance of sweet and tangy flavors was a true delight, making it a memorable choice.
What truly amazed me was the consistency of excellence across the cocktail menu. Each drink I tried demonstrated careful attention to detail and a dedication to innovative combinations. Whether I was seeking a refreshing option or something more complex and nuanced, the bartenders at Clink delivered.
The fact that I found myself returning to Clink for cocktails on all five days of my stay speaks volumes about the quality and allure of their creations. It's clear that the mixologists take their craft seriously and are passionate about offering a diverse range of options to satisfy every palate.
In conclusion, the cocktails at Clink in the Liberty Hotel are an absolute highlight of the experience. The friendly bartender's recommendations, the inventive names, and the outstanding flavors make it a must-visit destination for cocktail enthusiasts. If you're a guest at the Liberty Hotel, don't miss the opportunity to explore the tantalizing world of Clink's cocktails. My experience with them truly deserves a resounding five out of five stars.
However I’ve given a 4 as the kitchen closed early and we couldn’t have anything to eat along with the cofktajls after 10 pm
Writing this as someone who frequented Alibi very often a good decade ago. What’s always been true: the ambiance is fun! Nice decor, very private feeling, go on a random weeknight and it’s super intimate too. The service is great, I went recently and we had a lovely server who was helpful and pleasant.
The drinks have always been great—and still are. I went for a sangria with an autumn twist (cinnamon!) and it was perfectly put together.
The ONLY downside (for me), is I preferred the more casual/bar menu from long ago! The current menu includes food all from Scampo, and almost everything was just too heavy! Think lots of butter, sauces, deep frying. I went with a cod/gnocchi dish, was well-made, but the heavy, creamy sauce is not sitting right with me hours later.
I’d love to see more lighter fare. Maybe tapas or small dishes. It’s tough to keep things light when going out if the dishes are so rich. Definitely works for a sit-down restaurant, but for a bar/lounge it’s just a bit much.
Nice outdoor space for a Friday evening with warm weather - be sure to make a reservation, though, if you want to be outdoors. We were lucky enough to move to the outside bar when spaces opened up after starting indoors. Drinks were great, food was from Scampo, which was also great. Overall I think this is a great option to grab drinks in the Beacon Hill / West End area.
Updating my review with pictures and comments on additional food items I ordered at a later visit. Alibi continues to be a great option in the area with great cocktails and food!
