Loved it! I was starving first thing in the morning and they were open at 0800. I got the number 5, Taco and Enchilada combo, absolutely amazing! Will definitely be back. I did drive thru, also, get their hot sauces.
Imagine: two hungry women after a horror convention at 10pm at night. Everywhere else is closed, so we pick the only restaurant nearby that we could find. Little did we know we'd hit a goldmine! The prices were standard for fast Mexican food, but the quality was AMAZING. It was so good! Proper portions, quick service and reeeeally freaking delicious food. We literally are planning a special trip to Mesa (which is about an hour away) just to go back here. So good!
Alberto's is a little drive-thru restaurant that offers big flavor, large portion size, and excellent customer service.
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I've learned over the years that these are the hidden gems. We walked up to the drive thru window and a very helpful and friendly woman guided us through the menu and took our order.
We ordered a carna asada plate and chicken enchilada plate. Both orders were large and delicious. The chicken was very succulent, not dry. The cheese and salsa had a great flavor. The carne asada plate had a good amount of beef. The guacamole is more of a guacamole sauce not straight up avocados and spices.
Salsas offered here come in medium and hot. Watch out for the red salsa - it is not for people who like a "little bit of heat;" it is straight fire with a delicious flavor.
There is no inside seating, but there are a couple of benches outside.
Alberto's has locations all over Arizona, but is owned by different members of the same family.
Ordered food today 7/28/2023 in the am hours. Ordered simple ham and cheese torta with chips and guacamole so I can eat it at work. We’ll I ate half the sandwich an hour later my stomach started hurting and didn’t feel right. I can not say what they did to my sandwich before they handed it to me. First the speaker in drive thru is very loud as hells bells she was screaming at me when I was talking to her. She couldn’t understand me so I repeated myself over and over. When I got to the window she still couldn’t hear me; had to repeat myself. I’m allergic to tomatoes and chili. I asked her 4 times if they had the two items on there finally she understood. A few minutes later a man came to the window and handed me my order. Sat there and looked at my food to see if they had done something to the ordered. Looked fine to me. Beware don’t order after this happens to you because they may do something or add something to the food. First and last time there. Adios restaurant. Treat the customers with kindness.
Amazing giant breakfast burritos! Hot fresh and ready! Drive-through is quick and it is definitely one of the best Mexican breakfast burritos I've Ate! Chorizo Burrito was the best!
My first time coming here and I got their carne asada fries. They were really good. I loved the fries because they were crunchy. Only thing I wish was salsa was a little more spicy.
SO GOOD!!!! Everything is good, but their Bean Burrito is better than El Charro's used to taste like (even back when Freddy used to make them fresh every day). Cute little place-formerly Dad's Doghouse-and a real gem!!!!!!
It is mex fast food. I think they have got better over the years. I eat there all the time mainly 2 beef tacos or toastada. I am happy with them and if they mess up they make it right. Been eating there for at least 5 years.
