A quiet place for a relaxing dinner: the restaurant wasn’t busy making it a great option after a busy working day. Amazing presentation of the hummus, light taste to bring out the original flavor. Specialty rice was so unique! Kabobs were juicy and tender.

3/17/2024 This Persian restaurant has been in business for 17 years.
1) The appetizer HUMMUS is so fresh, a 5 star dish; 2) FESENJAN STEW is 5 star, before taking my first bite of FESENJAN STEW (Sauteed ground walnut, cooked in pomegranate sauce and served with steamed basmati rice), I am not sure it will fit my taste. Right after my tasting, a nonstop eating with steamed basmati rice took place.; 3) BAKLAVA (Pastry made with layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped walnut and pistachio and cream) and tea are 5 star; 4) A signature dish, GHORMEH SABZI STEW, is okay.
The restaurant is also specializing for catering. I really like a fragrant smell in its clean bathroom.
I did catering with Ali Baba Persian Restaurant for my Engagement Party. Ali was so professional and made sure everything was taken care of for my big party. The food was so delicious we ordered kebab, vegetables, different kinds of Persian rice, and a couple of Persian stews. Everything looked and tasted so good. All my guests loved the food! Everything was perfect! I will be doing catering with Ali Baba for all my future events. My family always eats at Ali Baba restaurant as well and the food is always so delicious.

Loved every bites we had, their beef kabobs was tender juicy and never dry.
Also the chicken kabobs was awesome, the rice was very good with the butter and saffron on top, the aroma is irresistible.
Ali the owner was very nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place especially for your special occasions.
The best Persian food in LA. Not only is the food delicious, the space is clean and inviting, and the service is always on point. Ali and his staff treat us like family and have even catered some family events. The catering is just as excellent and always consistent. Grateful for this local neighborhood gem!
This is my second review of Ali Baba. We've been coming here for dinner for the past 3 years and every time we have left extremely satisfied with the food, the service and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. This time around, I inquired about catering services as I wanted to share this delicious food with family and friends at our Baby Shower. I spoke with Ali, the owner, he gave me recommendations as to what I should serve for a party of 100 people while keeping me within budget. Ali personally delivered the chafers I would be needing the evening prior to our event, walked me through the warm up process prior to ensure the food would be at the perfect temperature before serving. The day of our event, food was served on time before guests arrived. Boy oh boy, FOOD was a hit! Everyone was raving about the the quality and taste of both the Meat and the Chicken. The Mast-o-khiar (cucumber yogurt) and the humus were on point. We had more than enough rice. At the end of the party, people were asking if we had any left overs to take home with them. Both my wife and I cannot be thankful enough for Ali and his team for taking such good care of us and for serving up such exquisite food. Will definitely be using them for our future parties and date nights with the wife, a must at Ali Baba.
Ali Baba restaurant catered our 250 person wedding. The food including appetizer, dinner, and dessert was hands down the best part of our wedding. Most of the time you either get taste or you get presentation, but we got both. We had three kinds of rice, five different meats, two yogurts, two salads and tons of appetizers. To be honest, the appetizer tables were decorated so nicely it took off some pressure for the wedding decor. And finally, planning with Ali Baba restaurant was just so easy. Planning a wedding was stressful but every step of the way Ali Baba restaurant made things easier for me, helped me plan, coordinated with the venue on my behalf, and did more for us than just catering. I can't say enough, we are forever grateful to them.
The restaurant is very clean and modern, and the koobideh was juicy and delicious.
