Enjoyed a late lunch with mom. Food was amazing. Staff were so nice. Loved the atmosphere and the patio check out the pics
CASH ONLY BUSINESS
Made the trip here the other day after seeing it on the daytripper, even saw Alfredo himself. There is currently a boil notice for Lampasas so they were charging $2 for a bottle of water, with no refills or replacements which I thought was actually insane, bottled water is cheap and if you can’t serve tap water let’s not price gouge. On top of that they serve you ice in a cup with your bottled water that I assume was made with the same water that has a boil notice on it??
All the staff was super friendly and checked on us often, always love when waitresses work to help each other out and check on tables that aren’t their own. Place wasn’t super busy and we had a nice view of the water.
Ordered Queso & Guacamole for $12 for 2 smalls, which I felt was overpriced. The guacamole wasn’t good but the queso was.
I ordered the Raja plate which I found to be delicious and the chicken was perfect, seasoned great, my wife had the El Tejano plate which I believe was the most expensive thing on the menu minus the fajitas and I received more food on my plate than she did on hers. The steak was little more than their fajita meat uncut. Incredibly disappointing and I wouldn’t say it was good either, low quality meat, no flavor, small portion. Additionally I’m a big fan of chile toreados but the one we received was not fully cooked, it was still quite raw on the inside which wasn’t ideal to be sure. It was likely they barely blistered the outside and called it good.
I wanted a side of grilled onions until I noticed the price was $6 while talking with the waitress. She laughed and she thought it was ridiculous as well.
Overall we enjoyed our time here and every restaurant has hits or misses and we would come here again, however I do think their prices on certain items are way out of line and frankly unacceptable. I’d recommend anyone who visit, probably wait until their boil notice is over and be particular about what you order. 7/10
Great property and location along the river and among the trees. We drove up on a road trip from Austin and found Alfredo's on Google Maps. What a great find and gem! Cool grounds and atmosphere and their outdoor patio could serve as a wedding venue. Good food and great customer service! Thank you, Crystal!
Great service and phenomenal food. Honestly one of the best restaurants in Central Texas. Like four employees stop by our table on multiple occasions just to check and see if we needed anything and to make sure that we were happy with everything. The prices are fair may be a little on the high side but that’s OK cause it’s worth it. Definitely recommend highly.
The outside dining area had tons of photo ops!! It was beautiful...the food was fast and great...at the time we came they only took cash but had an ATM. And it's literally right beside the world's biggest spur photo ops.
A real good time meeting up my daughters in-laws you traveled all the way from New York the food was pretty good the atmosphere was nice
This place 2/2/24 i almost walked out ....lol soon i walked in took host forever to greet us ...i almost sat myself ...it was ok not too bad but seems like the waitresses dont like being there...food i must say was delicious ...they do need better tortillas ....all in all im not going back ill just go to rodeo down the street... where im greeted with a smile and right away !!!
First time visit on Valentine’s Day and Alfredo’s didn’t disappoint. You’re greeted by friendly staff as soon as you enter the door. The inside was spotless and busy with music, food and good ambience. We decided to eat outside, I order the tamales plate and my wife ordered enchiladas. You’ll enjoy the Mexican culture and lake view from the dining table. Our waitress Maria was five star!!!! She provided great customer service and was a crowd pleaser. Maybe next time Alfredo’s can add a frozen pina colada. We’ll definitely be back soon with the rest of our family and friends.
