I hit the drive through and got two bean and cheese burritos. My lady ate one and I got into my second bite of mine and had this hard thing in my burrito I thought maybe it’s a bone chunk from some meat they serve. I spit it out and it was a rock like a gravel rock. Idk how in TF a rock gets in a burrito I understand hair and other stuff like maybe a piece of plastic wrap or twist tie but a rock!? Like what is going on. I didn’t even want to write a review I called to tell them so that maybe they will pay more attention and not put rocks in burritos but I sat on the phone for five minutes trying to tell the girl I wasn’t placing an order I was trying to tell her a rock was in my burrito not order one and I got frustrated the fifth time trying to tell her I’m not ordering a burrito and hung up.
I don’t know why I keep giving this place a chance. The quality of the meat and the lack of care of how the goes out is not good. Meat is always burnt. I’m writing these review cuz I’m fed up and they need to take accountability. **replying to owner- I would show cashier but It was to go. So no I couldn’t show cashier.
We asked for all beans and no rice, twice. They gave us all rice. Plus, we didn’t get our churro. We call to get this figured out the lady says hold on, hangs up and takes the phone off line so we can’t call. The carne asada is so greasy, over cooked and grounded up like hamburger so you don’t know what meat it is. I do like their lengua tacos but it’s almost not worth it anymore.
I'm only giving 3 stars for my last visit. I ordered a 4x4 Sandwhich, which was really good. However, after I finished it and left, I looked at the sign outside for it again. That is when I noticed that all the meat that was supposed to be on it wasn't. I will definitely be back to this place, but I will never order the 4x4 again.
Truly, a wonderful restaurant and surprisingly some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time! Of all places this restaurant could and it is in Saint George, Utah, but it is on par with some of the best restaurant in Arizona and California which is great. The price is low for the quality of the food as well!
I will be coming back again!
Update September 19th 2021:
I am going back through all my reviews of restaurants to be more stringent and to compete my due diligence of each. I have set forth three rules that all restaurant will need to follow to get a three star rating.
The three rules for restaurants is the keep it fresh, keep it clean, and keep it simple!
Getting a four or five star will become harder, but not impossible! Why? Well, people rating poor restaurants as five stars when they are barely a two or three is commonplace in Google Maps and I would like to fix this problem.
Below average to me, a bit overpriced, fish tacos were ok, rest of the food wasn't so great, place needs some upgrading, clean but it doesn't feel that way because he's outdated.
We had a great experience at Alfredo's! We were so tired and hungry after leaving Zion National Park and we stopped here to get food. The staff was friendly and answered our questions about the menu. The food had delicious taste and portion size. I would definitely go back if I was in the area again.
How is this a $13 meal with barely any fries in it? And I got a carne asada burrito with barely any carne asada.. disappointed as heck
