The vanilla latte is absolutely worth the hype. Absolutely delicious. Had it with oat milk and it was 10/10. Also had the el alfuego burrito which hit the spot. The hot sauce and salsa they serve with it is to die for. Wish I could get that in a bottle. Edit: just realized they sell the hotsauce in store and on Amazon! Getting it asap
I loved this place! I'm so excited they offer salads to go. I got the most delicious "Brentwood" salad, a Lavender Latte, and a hot Matcha Latte with honey. Everything was exquisite! Alfred was so nice and personable. We will definitely come back and try their Spring Roll salad, Chickpea Caesar salad, and deli sandwiches.
Cute little place. Got the vanilla latte (less than half sweetener and two extra shots) and it was tasty. They also have a fridge with more drinks & food. They have a some tables outside and there's trees giving a little shade. Staff was friendly, there was some parking in the back or on the street. It was a nice place to sit and work for a bit.
I went in yesterday, and the staff is exceptionally friendly, especially Noel. My lavender latte was made perfectly. ????
I've been away from CA for a while, back visiting, and didn't realize they stopped taking cash. Keep that in mind when you go.
Coffee is not good in here! waist of time and money! Staff are not happy with their job.

Quick service as the second customer of the day. The Rico with no bacon was really tasty but a tad oily towards the bottom. Came with two sauces (I liked the darker one better). My short Americano was good but I liked the one I got yesterday from Cafe Luxxe better, although the energy and customer service was a little more elevated and positive at Alfred. Would definitely come back to try the more complex drinks (i.e. chagaccino). Outdoor seating available. Mask required for ordering inside. Small adjoining lot with free parking.
BEWRE! They have changed the classic breakfast burrito of glory and have gone off in a seemingly worse direction. It’s mushy, its ratios are off, it’s better to go to erewhon. #bringbackGEN1alfredsBBurrito
We had just ate at Pizzana and were walking off some of the carbs and decided to check out Alfred Coffee. I've been to Alfred Tea Room, but never one of their coffee spots.
They had a lot of extra things like mugs, water bottles, chocolate, tote bags and more. Kombucha on tap was new, and matcha was new too.
They got a lot of small white tables outside where we took a seat, and many people were camped out to type on their laptops.
I've gone by the Alfred in Silverlake quite often, so I think I'll stop by there too one of these days. I can see why the brand is so successful, with such friendly staff. Was let down by my experience at Winston Pies right after this visit... unfriendly. But then we went to Tavern (old Hamburger Hamlet spot) and they were really cool!
