I have ordered from Alfonso’s 3 other times since we moved to PSL last month. Haven’t had an issue until now. We received our pizza and it tasted off. The crust was crumbly and tasted like a stale cracker. I reached out through Slice who i ordered through for delivery. After many people and no resolution I contacted Alfonso’s directly. Unfortunately, the two people I spoke to did not think it was possible that they could make a bad pizza and offered no type of resolution. I normally just eat something even if it isn’t the best. $19 for an extra cheese pizza and I could have bought a frozen one and it be better than the one we got tonight. Sad that customer service has went downhill. Even if they didn’t offer a resolution they could have at least offered an apology.
Chef's Salad was AWESOME. And the Chicken Parm with Penne was Delicious. And Who doesn't like Garlic Knots?! Really Hit the Spot. Highly Recommend. ????????
Me and my parents normally order from here and are normally happy with the food but this time we ordered half pepperoni and half mushroom and we got the mushroom and pepperoni on the same side!! Normally they would put pepperoni on one half and mushroom on the other but I am not happy with what has happened this time! I only like mushroom and now I can't even enjoy the mushroom without eating pepperoni as well. Very disappointed in this visit! And I paid $50 for the pizza and wings which you didn’t even get the pizza order right!
My opinion.....
Italian food, especially pizza, would be my final meal.
From either Little Italy in Saranac Lake or Rustica in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
But... Alfonso's was pretty darn good. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and an order of mild chicken wings. I love my wings crispy, so they definitely get a high 8 out of 10.
The pizza on an all-time scale of 1 to 10, which I use for everything... movies, women, etc. I give the pizza a 7.5 with an overall rating of 8.
I've been to a few other pizza places in PSL and haven't returned to any of them a second time. Alfonso, I see you soon!!
I had been shopping at Bass Pro with my 2 year old and asked if she wanted pizza for lunch. I did a quick Google search and found Alfonso's. From the outside it's unremarkable and the inside is simple. I had a meatball parm sub which was absolutely fantastic and my daughter had a slice. The pizza was very good also. I wish we lived closer, I would make this my go-to pizza place. Also the prices were very reasonable and the staff was friendly.
Order from this business almost every Friday night. Tonight, I ordered a pizza, and after an hour and a half, the pizza came burnt. I called and told them, and they said they would send another one. An hour and 15 minutes later, the second one arrived in not much better condition.... burnt on one side. ( Pictures are from the second pizza, the first pizza I didn't take pictures, but it was completely burnt on the bottom and I returned it to the driver who brought the second one) I reached out to the manager of Alfonso's only to be told there was nothing they could do, that the pizza was prepared properly, and that it was not burnt and that I should have asked for it to be "lightly cooked ", (keeping in mind that I have never had to ask for my pizza to be lightly cooked, and it has never come burnt!) They would not issue a refund. I am very disappointed with the management at this restaurant and the staff (that were mocking me in the background while I was supposedly speaking with the manager), this is NOT how customer service should be!! I have referred sooooo many people to this pizzeria, but not anymore!!
BURNT, SALTY, COLD, DRY!!! Took over 2hrs to deliver!!! We have order from place a lot of times the past few times we’ve order the quality as well as delivery time declined greatly! We order our pizza at 4:30pm today and it took over 2 1/2 hours get our order. After 2hrs I called to check in see where the order was only for them to say it just left them. The food was delivered 30mins after that only to get the wrong pizza. I called to let them know, they instructed me to give the pizza back to the delivery driver. I informed them that we had open the pizza and it touched it without realizing it was ours we didn’t eat. The driver was still in the area and had our pizza with him all along. I asked the driver why did it take so long he was adamant that our food was hot he told me to feel the boxes. I had him feel it and he confirmed it was cold while he did apologies he said it was only delivered what was given to him. Calling the restaurant back to only be out on hold and then told this was their peek time as an excuse for late and cold food!! The pizza it self was BURNT, HARD, DRY, & SALTY Never again will we order from him.
As today, best Pizza in town they're not shy of loading it with toppings, I ate like a bear ready to hibernate.
