Its a cozy breakfast place. The bagels are huge and soft and delicious. We really loved the veggie cream cheese spread.
Clearly stated on the phone for home fries on two bagels and one without ketchup and both bagels had no potatoes and the one had so much ketchup. Paid full price for both. Not the first time this happened either.
Hate to have to do this but if you order from here you HAVE to check your order is right.
I stopped in for bagels only and I'm glad I did! The bagels here are delicious! Crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, just how a bagel is supposed to be! I'll have to stop in for either a breakfast sandwich or lunch... either way, if it's on these bagels I don't think I'll be disappointed! The BEST bagels in the area!
I’ve been going to Alfa bagels for 20 years (at least). It was a routine with my mom on the way to work every morning growing up. Now that I’ve moved out of state, I make it a priority to stop at least once for a THEC SPK on an everything bagel. They make it fresh and fast, and for a great price- even with inflation.
The employees are ALWAYS kind and helpful- even at 6 am, even with a line out the door. The quality of their bagels is why I come back here and don’t bother with the other deli’s in Morris county. If you’re lucky you can watch them boil and bake the bagels right there by the grill.
It’s a small building, off a busy highway, with limited parking, next to a college and diner. Let me tell you- you will not be disappointed at Alfa. Whether you’re from Jersey or visiting. I hope they stay in business for a very long time.
Grabbed a Jersey Meat (I don't care if you call it pork roll or Taylor ham so I'm avoiding the argument) Egg and Cheese from Alfa Bagel. I normally get these on a hard roll (Kaiser) but since this is a bagel spot and I've heard the bagels are good, I went with an egg bagel. The woman who helped me was very friendly, and I chose to take the sandwich outside to the benches because it was a nice day. Came out to just over $6 and this spot is cash only.
The bagel was solid for this area, normally this far west of North Jersey/NYC the bagels are not great but I enjoyed this. Hit it with a little butter and seemed very lightly grilled. Sandwich had 3 slices of the biggest argument meat ever with what I believe to be one egg (could have been two small eggs) and I'd guess two slices of American. I chose to go no SPK as I usually do with these sandwiches. The meat is salty enough and I personally feel ketchup doesn't allow you to taste all the other flavors.
I would get this again but I'd be more interested in trying something else from here. This wouldn't crack a top 5 list for me or anything but it was definitely a good sandwich. Alfa Bagels in Randolph, NJ - Didn't Suck!

This was the first time we tried this place and they did not disappoint. My mother in law wanted pumpernickel bagels and due to my new health diet, I can't have regular wheat, so wanted to try those as well. I got some of those bagels and also got a few for my family with fixings. Plain for our son with lox spread and sesame seed bagel for my wife with egg and cheese. The bagels are absolutely fresh, delicious, great quality. Everyone was extremely happy with the purchase and this product. We also got great service when the staff was helping us. There is enough parking. The place is not big, so we got things to go, but they do have tables, so in the future, we might even try to stay and eat inside. Very happy we visited this place and will definitely be back.
Stopped by today after a while. Tried to order chicken salad but they were out. Also ordered TEC which was great. ordered bacon and cheese on plain bagel. Came with egg that I didn’t order and then 2 pieces total of bacon on a hard chewy bagel. Then I see they charge a fee for debit cards. Yikes. Disappointed when so many bagel places around. Won’t be back
I'm from the West coast and recently had my first Taylor ham bagel sandwich at Alfa Bagels. Loved every bit of it. It wasn't exactly like anything I'd had before, and I loved the pairing of the sweet ketchup with the crispy pork. The bagel was one of the best I've had. Fantastic experience and was a great start to my vacation.
