Best WLM Reviews
The Hotel is definitely budget friendly. My friend found this hotel on expedia! They advertised coffee makers in every room. There were none. I asked and the lady at the front desk rudely said, we don't have coffee. The rooms were nice however, thee was no refrigerators or microwave in the rooms. Neither are there elevators if you stay on the second floor. There are no people to help with luggage either. The front desk was always empty the weekend I stayed. there was a bell to ring and the lobby was always locked. I fell on the stairs case and nobody cared. I have been waiting to speak with the manger for 3 to 4 days. The only way to reach him is email. This place could have a much higher review from me. It is walkable and the homeless around the hotel don't bother you. My friends and I enjoyed San Francisco but because of my experience we will not stay here again!
Firstly yes the hotel isn't in the best spot but you can't place blame on the hotel for what goes on outside the premises, yes homeless are around but it's san francisco so it's what you expect.|Price was very reasonable and would really like to thank you gentlemen who checked us in we were the couple from the uk who drove from las vegas to san francisco and checked in late.|You saved us more than you realised as we were struggling to find a hotel and didn't want to sleep in the car he was very professional and understanding.|Room was spotlessly clean and tidy and can't make a single complaint, I purposely wanted to leave this review as a thank you and this hotel doesn't get enough credit, if you want luxury go to a hotel which charges $800+ a night it's a very very nice hotel for the price.|Thank you and shall I visit san francisco again I will stay here.
I stayed here during the Saturday 4th of July break in 2024. This was a walk in and quickly got a room. The room was clean and had small welcoming hospitality hand sanitizers, soap, towels, etc.
The neighborhood was less than safe, but the motel area had huge flood lights at night and cameras to deter potential criminal acts from the street residents. The parking was limited so if you can get a spot, don't move your car.
Other than the above, the price was decent. But I was charged $100 for a deposit, which made NO sense since I booked the room as a walk in, I didn't do it online or on the phone. I called the motel and talked to a "John" the receptionist about this charge. He assured that the charge would be reverse. I also told him to send me a copy of the invoice, unfortunately, this motel appears to work slow and only send invoices via snail mail and not email, even though they ask for your email in the intake form.
Anyways, long story short, the $100 was refunded and I did get a a copy of the invoice. Other than these issues, I don't have much else to say, other than, it would be nice to have a small fridge / microwave in the room just to make it easier for the tenants to keep food/beverages cold and warm up food/ beverages, especially when the neighborhood is full of speculative people on the streets. One don't feel safe going out.
When I checkin , the girl in the checkin area kinda attitude , not nice but not mean . She give me my room card and when I walk in the room is smaller than I expected but still good everything clean BUT the bathtub has something like blood stained in it , it's so disgusting. The bed sheet also has something on it . They said free wifi but it's actually not , they require password. One thing I hate the most about this place is the location, they're so many homeless around there , it was so loud out side to like the police car , ambulance. I only recommend this place when you stay 1-2 days and 2-3 people .
I have stayed here 2 times in the last week! Once to go to the Sydney Goldstein Theater, on a Saturday night. WE walked to and back to this hotel, Yes! This address is on Polk Street and they have homeless people on the streets. We walked passed the City Hall and they have homeless people in that area also. It is a way of life in this city! The managers of this hotel have a gem of a hotel here. They are friendly and very nice people. This is a great value and the rooms are modern AND very clean! Beds are very comfortable. It is located 1 block from Van Ness and they have homeless people there also! But business goes on and people support those businesses. I'm sad that some people have had some negative things happened to them on their stay here. The pictures on this site are very accurate.
Stayed there a few nights during a business trip to San Francisco. Room I got was clean and nice. Most likely recently renovated. Check in was easy and fast, and the guy in reception was great and very friendly. Hotel has a small parking on premises which is great for San Francisco. Location is quite sketchy. Plenty of homeless people and fires on the streets at night. Otherwise, 5 minutes driving from the financial district. The main reason why I picked up this place was the free parking.
Crooks. Hotel is right in the middle of the Tenderloin, which has as much history as it does challenges, yet interacting with the homeless denizens was a far more welcome experience than dealing with the staff of this "hotel". We arrived to a somewhat pleasant check in and 30 minutes later we had a woman who worked there screaming up telling us we had to leave. After informing her we were staying there and answering her followup questions she rudely told us we couldn't smoke outside our room and had to walk out to the sidewalk to which we obliged. Watch your step around the property as locals hang around drinking and pass out all along the sidewalk. The next morning we received a call at 10 and a woman told us we had to check out then .. we told her we already agreed to a 11am checkout she responded "you leave or you pay. 15 minutes later the same woman was banging on our door telling us we needed to go then accused us of smoking in the room which we did not. Then upon check out, another woman was screaming at us saying we smoked in the room. My friend tried to explain we had not, the hotel clerk said we'll you had cannibus in the room. It's California, possession of cannibus is legal and there was nothing about that in the contract we signed saying it wasnt allowed. The manager said they were going to keep our deposit because of this. This grimy, shady hotel is actively trying to cheat their guests and I would advise any and all traveller's stay far far away from this abysmal and corrupt "busniess".
Horrible, horrible place to stay! Woman worker harassed us multiple times during our stay. They accused us of smoking weed in the room. We did not! We had weed but never, ever did we smoke. It’s California and legal. The area is extremely sketchy! Very dangerous and disgusting. People taking # 2’s right on the side walk. The checkout time was 11. The woman called at 10 yelling at us, then came to our door right after yelling accusing us of smoking. She was standing at the railing with a mask on, how could she even smell anything? She continued to yell at us across the parking lot when we left. They wouldn’t give me my deposit back. Highly recommend NOT staying here!!!!
