Full disclosure: After seeing Jameka twice I'm getting a second opinion elsewhere because she didn't fix my issue and because of the other reasons I share below. The best things about this office are the free parking in the surface lot on the side and the techs, the ones who take you to the examining room and check your personal information. The techs are terrific. Everyone else is just indifferent to rude. That's bad because most patients go to the doctor because they aren't feeling well. A soothing bedside manner even in an office is nice. Other than the techs you won't get that here. The staff who answer the phone and who are at the front desk present as indifferent. At one appointment the staffer was talking to me while looking down at her keyboard and looked up only after I said "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying." Jameka was rude. At my first appointment I introduced my wife, who accompanies me to these appointments, because Jameka ignored her. Jameka's response was "ok." During both appointments she never got closer than three feet from me so she didn't examine the condition that brought me to the office in the first place. During the first appointment she gave me long, convoluted instructions regarding my treatment that she didn't write down and I didn't remember. During the second appointment she was doing it again but I had to ask her to write them down, and she did. At the second appointment I showed her that the condition had erupted on my hand that morning and from three feet away she answered "I'm not worried about that." I was. I'm age 64 so I've been to many doctors/PAs and I know when they care and when they don't. Jameka didn't.
I have seen Dr. Bray for many years and Dr Shah for the last 2 years snd I am consistently pleased with the standard of care, my outcomes, and the physicians’ professionalism. I had a particularly thorny problem a few years ago, and Dr. Bray proved himself to be a great diagnostician, and was able to get a very troublesome problem under control. Dr. Shah is exceptional. He is thorough, explains what he is doing and why, and answers all questions. He is efficient, but never rushed. Pre-pandemic they had some time management issues. By 9 am, the waiting room was packed and there was frequently a 30-45 minute wait. The last two years, I have been seen on time and the admin staff appears very competent. They are top-tier physicians with a well-managed office. If you are considering them, feel confident moving forward.
I admit I was nervous to make an appointment here after reading some reviews. However my experience was pleasant all around. Very nice office and front desk. I called late last week and they could fit me in Monday morning. Dr. Shah saw me promptly and addressed all of my concerns and was even thoughtful in trying to help make sure I got my prescription as affordable as possible.
Thank you to all the staff for your friendy demenor and efficiency. The wait was way shorter than most doctors offices. Dr. Shah truly impresses me as a man who cares about his patients. and his assistant Mohamed was friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.
Check out lady is very rude and disrespectful! I asked her a simple question about scheduling my daughters appointment and she replied in very mean and condescending way. Dr Shah and his medical assistant was great. Everyone else there has been very nice and wonderful except for her.
As I had a concern about a spot on my back, AAiD were able to fit me in within a few days. Dr. Shah was thorough in his examination, professional and reassuring. All together a very good experience!!
Alexandria associates in dermatology is a great practice. I’ve been going for years and am always pleased with the care. Most recently I was going in to have something looked at and was asked if i wanted a full body scan as it had been almost a year since my last visit. I was very impressed that Dr. Shah had looked at my chart the morning before my appointment. I find everyone there to be very friendly and appointments are easy to schedule.
