Best WLM Reviews
First time visiting and we loved it. It's definitely a "mom and pop" home-style country cooking with the atmosphere to match it. Our waitress Rockie was really awesome, too. Since it was our first time, she went above and beyond to make everything simple and easy for us. We went just before school, and the service was pleasant and quick.
Probably the worst meals we have ever had. First the food was mixed up. My omelette was suppose to have cheese but had none, my hash browns were cold. Both of our toasts were cold. Was told they would bring us fresh toast, never came. When we talked with the manager her response was, “sorry about that”. The manager never offer to reduce the bill or free meals, she just walked away. When I went to the register to pay I shared that we were unhappy with meals the response was, “sorry can’t do anything about it”. I have never had such poor service and food with the attitude there was nothing they could do about it. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Management contacted me and understood my concerns. To make up for this they sent me $20 certificate. We will return to the restaurant. Thanks to management for their response.
Normally don't post reviews, but this time I feel like I have no choice. The hostess **intentionally skipped** my party in the line to be seated. We had been waiting a very long time, and there were several people behind us. The hostess called the party of three that came in right after us to be seated. We politely explained that we had arrived first, which the other party confirmed. But the hostess actually shrugged and said "Whatever, I have three menus in my hand." It was one of the most bizarre and surreal experiences I've ever had (and I spent 5.5 years in Southern California, so that's saying something). It's not even like we had been rude to her; we just gave her our name. That was the extent of our interaction. And the other party even told her that we were ahead of them and she **still** didn't seat us. Twilight Zone-level nonsense. 0/5 Do NOT recommend, will not go back
I love eating here!!! The staff and food are always phenomenal!!!! Unfortunately I tried to go for lunch today but they were temporarily closed due to maintenance problems. It’s not a bad thing, they are committed to making sure every experience is top notch. Thanks for being amazing and bringing excellent food to Goose Creek❤️❤️❤️
We eat here 2-3 times a month as a treat to ourselves. The food is always good. The service is exceptional. I always feel valued as a customer.
Try the western omelette with a side of fish. If you are adventurous, try the liver. It’s good!
Food was not bad. There were very little hash browns on the plate unfortunately. Was still hungry when I left. Plenty of other diners around town that will give you a decent portion for the same price.
I am very allergic to any and all seafood. I ordered fried chicken. I took one bite and it tasted like fish. I asked Mrs. Ruby if they cooked the chicken in the same fryer as the fish. I appreciated the honesty she gave.i was unable to eat it...$2.00 was taken off the order..I really believe that info should be on the menu...I've never known a place to use the same fryer for both chicken and seafood.Very disappointed...I love Mrs. Ruby and the great customer service she always gives...Just really disappointed with the way they cooked everything together.I won't be eating there anymore.
I visited Alex’s Restaurant for the first time today in Goose Creek, South Carolina, and had an outstanding experience. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great option for a delicious meal without breaking the bank.
The highlight of my visit was the amazing lemon merengue pie and Salisbury steak. Both dishes were absolutely delightful and left me craving more. This is a great place if you want a lot of variety. The flavors were spot on, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and carefully prepared.
Additionally, the wait time was impressively short, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Their attentive service made the meal even more enjoyable.
Overall, Alex’s Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the area. Great food, great prices, and great service – what more could you ask for?
