Best WLM Reviews
Had a wonderful time at Alero restaurant! I love that every thing is decorated the tables, the chairs, the walls, and even the ceiling! Warm and attentive staff. They made sure your beverage glasses weren't too low or empty.. yes, even the water glasses. They hand make the guacamole at your table. I ordered the steak fajitas. They came with rice, beans, pico de Gallo, sour cream and a small serving of guacamole. The meat was tender and juicy. Everything tasted great! If you are celebrating a birthday several employees come out singing and clapping. One plays a guitar, the atmosphere is very festive! They place a sombrero on the birthday persons head and hand them some maracas to shake while they sing and clap! They also present the birthday person with a dessert! Lovely location for a celebration!
Food was delicious, service was spot on and atmosphere was awesome. I highly recommend this place and definitely will be going back when I am in town again.
A great find by accident!
I recently visited this hidden gem (not so hidden) after looking up the hookah lounge next door. My intentions were to get some food and smoke a little hookah, however the smells coming from Alero next door made me change my plans.
Food: the menu is robust with many familiar entrees to choose from. They had flavored margaritas by the glass and pitchers as well as the most delicious table side fresh Guacomole. I had the carnitas fajitas which also came with a side of refried beans, Mexican rice, pico de gallo, sour cream and Guacomole. The carnitas were juicy and tender and came on a sizzling hot plate. The chips and salsa were fresh and our margaritas were great!
Service: our server, Jesus was simply wonderful! He was attentive to my table, interacted with myself and my family and even brought us a round of shots on the house. He was so pleasant and so was the bartender. Make sure you ask for Jesus when you visit. He will take care of you!
Atmosphere: the location is beautifully decorated and had plenty of seating. They played music and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean and well kept.
This restaurant was a great accidental find and I will definitely be coming back
Went here last night before a show at the Lincoln. The food was phenomenal! I did not expect it to be as good with 3.9 stars which compelled me to review them. Everything we ordered was fresh, hot, cooked perfectly. The flavors were on point and I’ve lived in California and South Texas. I will be back and def recommend others try them out. Margaritas were tasty and strong too! ❤️
First time visiting this place and I fell in love! First of all, the staff was too lit! It had to be about 7 birthday's and the staff delivered Grammy Award Winning performances each and every time! They had biggest smiles, great energy and sang with so much confidence and care. It was like they were having more fun than the birthday people and I love to see it! The food was amazing and affordable with a wide selection of menu options. Bottle services are available and YES! we bought champagne. What better way to keep it on ice at a Mexican restaurant?! A Corona bucket! They had a whole separate menu just for party options in case you wanted a night cap. Overall, the ambience, decor, staff and energy of this place is fun, loving and super lit! I had so much fun here and it wasn't even my birthday. 10/10 would highly recommend (especially for birthday's)!!!
Great Mexican food. Great atmosphere, fast service, plenty of seating, and food was well seasoned. I recommend the fajitas, steak & Hawaiian chicken were great. Chimichangas were okay.
Came on Tuesday evening, but will coming back for there brunch.
Awesome place!!! The food was fantastic and reasonably priced for U street in DC ($15-25) for very delicious and filling entrees. I had the tacos Al pastor and my friend had the chicken burrito, both well seasoned and delicious. We got pitchers which were $50-$60 and had 6 drinks in each. We got the margarita and sangria pitchers which were soooo good. We also asked the server if they sang happy birthday because it was my boyfriend’s birthday and they pulled out all the stops. They came out playing 4 different drums, placed a sombrero on his head, sang happy birthday and gave us a free desert. So fun and delicious! Would highly recommend!
I’ve been walking around and found this fancy restaurant. The view got me interested, And I had fun and enjoyed their margarita and Karen (the bartender) made it perfect!! Thank you for the service ❣️ Kudos!
