Went there for a birthday celebration and found that the portion sizes have been considerably reduced, although the food still tastes good. Their chips and salsa are as excellent as they always have been. We had Tacos de Carne Asada, Birria Tacos, and a Taco Salad Fajita. The corn tortillas have shrunk to about half size (4 mini tacos), and they now omit the Spanish rice from the Tacos de Carne Asada meal. A Jalapeño Margarita looked nice, but it was extremely watered down. Chocolate cake for dessert tasted like it came from a box mix (due to the texture), but it was made with good quality chocolate. The server sometimes spoke rapidly and mumbled, but was attentive. The visit was not as enjoyable as in past years, but at least the food is authentic.
Good food at a good price. Also the Christmas margarita served by Marcia was fantastic!
Marcia was awesome. The food and the drink was the best sangria I had in a long time. My husband had tuna tosita and tuna taco was delicious. One of our favorite stops
I'm the first to admit that I love Mexican food and I must say that I love this place. Since moving to the Reading area last year, this restaurant has become my family's favorite by far! The food is excellent and the Chirizo is the best I've ever had. My favorite dish is called Molcajeta Mar y Tierra (it's their signature dish) and it's the best dish I've ever eaten of any cuisine..., and I'm Italian! It's a little spicy but not too much so don't get it if you can only eat bland foods. The waitstaff are also excellent. We often have Osiris (aka "Jose") as a waiter and he's the best. He taught me to properly pronounce the name of my favorite dish that I mentioned above (it's a bit of a mouthful to say, no pun intended). I don't speak Spanish but I think it has something to do with surf and turf. He's great. The food is great. The Blackberry Sangria is really great!!! I've tried other Alebrije locations and they are all good but this on of 5th Street has a few differences and I like it better then the others for that reason. I definitely recommend it.
Marcia was our waitress and she was very attentive and took care of us. My wife tried the shrimp tequila and she loved it
When we dined there on Thursday 11/7/24 at 5th St Hwy location we had a wonderful experience! The food always tastes fresh and delicious! The serving sizes are filling! The service by Osiris and the manager Edgar was wonderful! Both of them are so friendly, welcoming and attentive to our table! They make us feel like valued customers!
The food in this place is a joke. Had a lot of stomach issues after eating one singular taco. The workers here are nice but I was unable to get a refund. The meat on the taco was undercooked, so I think that's why I have stomach issues. I am undoubtedly never coming back here.
Our food and drinks were amazing. My mango jalapeño margarita was so good who ever made our drinks great bartender.
Our server was also great attentive made sure we were good. Definitely recommend.
