I cannot get over the buffalo cauliflower! The chicken corn chowder soup was really good and I wasn't disappointed by the black bean burger. The vegan burger bun did have a hard time staying together though. The signature mocktails are fantastic and I strongly recommend giving them a try. We got a vegan milkshake to go and it was an enjoyable option for those who don't normally get to indulge in a milkshake.
There's a little something for everyone here! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are very pleasant. If you're in the area or just want a pleasant time out, definitely stop by.
We stopped in for brunch and had an amazing experience! I ordered the Mark Cuban which was a fantastic Cuban sandwich. My buddy had their breakfast burrito and said it’s the best burrito he has ever had. We even ordered their beer cheese burger which they claim was ranked top 25 somewhere lol.
The bartender was really great. Was around enough to make sure we were taken care of but not too pushy. We also ordered an enormous mimosa that was probably 2 gallons. This thing got the day started off on the right food.
Anytime I’m back in this part of Michigan I will stop in to Ale Mary’s. If you are looking for a spot to grab a bite to eat then Ale Mary’s is the answer!
I’ve heard a lot about this place and was excited to try it! A group of 4 of us went on a Thursday night and the only seating available was either outside or at the bar. We chose the bar since it was super hot outside. Our server/bartender, Noah, was very friendly and helpful throughout our meal. I ordered fish and chips and didn’t love them, but the tartar sauce & fries were very good. The fish was a bit mushy and didn’t have much flavor. The strawberry limeade cocktail was delicious!! Overall a good experience and I’m sure I will be back to try some other menu items!
We came here after the comedy show and ordered food and drinks. The bartender had zero personality and was just downright rude. Maybe he had a long day, I don’t know. The food was absolutely horrible and I wasn’t in a mood to confront anyone about these issues. The chicken sandwich came out looking wet and was sticky and the breading tasted burnt, I pulled all the breading off to try to make it edible. My girlfriend had a burger and the meat was like mush inside and was greasy which soaked into the bun. We ended up just leaving and going somewhere else. Glad we did, we enjoyed our other visits elsewhere. I’d avoid this place, has potential.
Overall a nice little bar. Nice selection of beers on tap. The service was good. I did not eat, but they offered a full menu. They are on Untappd, the app says they updated it that day, and not one beer from Untappd matched their beer menu. Strange. Anyway I'll go back and try it again.
I think if you would like to grab beers and maybe some apps this is a decent spot. For brunch or full meal I wouldn’t entirely recommend. It’s just too pricey for what it is. I got the BELT sandwich and it wasn’t easy to hold. The tomatoes also are supposed to be roasted (maybe these were technically) but on a sandwich I think sliced tomatoes would be a better choice (personally). The service was good and the vibes were ok.
So I’ve been going to ale Mary’s for a few years and when I went yesterday it was the cleanest smell I’ve ever smelled! Every time I went before it smelled like stale beer but they got new tables and a new cleaning crew and it’s immaculate now!! Even with the old smell I always kept going back for the cool atmosphere, cool Waite staff and most importantly the Buffalo cauliflower!!! I try Buffalo cauliflower whenever I see it on the menu and ale Mary ‘s has the best by far!!! Would give it ten stars if I could
Large N/A non-alcoholic selection of beers, sparkling waters, and mocktails.
The food is a little expensive, like $17 for a BLT with egg seems like a little too much. $8 for a side of eggs. A dozen eggs doesn't cost $8, that for a side of eggs sounds ridiculous. The French onion soup I got for $11 was very good though, so maybe the eggs would have been worth it.
It is dark and the tables are a little small. It feels cramped, like they fit the most amount of tables that they could. I do like the patio, but it also feels cramped.
I would go there if someone wanted to go, but wouldn't suggest it myself.
