Absolutely exquisite! The decor was beautiful! The staff was warm and accommodating. The food was wonderful, so fresh and delicious. Our server, Wes, was very personable. He paid great attention to detail, gave us great food recommendations, and even shared some of his favorite spots with us to check out on our vacation. When we arrived there, we had mentioned that we were celebrating kind of a late honeymoon . When we ordered our dessert, he brought it out with a special "Happy Honeymoon " written in chocolate. Such a nice touch, we really appreciated that. Anytime we come back to VA Beach, we will be stopping here every time. Thank you Aldo's for a beautiful experience!
Always a delight. We love to drop in for a glass of wine and a lovely pasta dish.
The waitstaff is so well trained and professional. I particularly watch their faces when I ask about a dish or one vs another. They know the menu well, including weekly specials. When my waitstaff lights up when describing a dish, or a wine I always order it.
My husband ordered the Old Fashioned and proclaimed it the best one he has had. The blend of flavors, the quality ingredients won him over.
Take note of the wild mushroom ravioli, if you are so inclined. The sauce flavors, the spinach and Parmesan on top are something special.
My husband always finishes with his favorite: coconut cake. I went for the warm peach cobbler and ice cream. So good.

Call for a reservation, ate at 5:30, got sat at the bar. Small tables at those high tops. Plus the bartenders take care of you and these customers like to drink. These staffers are shaken drinks at the table and the bar. Grey Goose and Tito's did flow out to the tables. The food is still as solid as I remember. Could be 20 plus years since I eat here. I am glad I choose to meet Mom here. Next time I call a couple days ahead.
Went there for our Anniversary Dinner. Reservations recommended. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Service was great. Food was served hot and delicious. We enjoyed everything there. Halibut, Shrimp Gorganzala with Angel Hair pasta, Focasia bread, Creme Brule and Napoleon.
Our visit to Aldo was more surprising than I was expecting. My Girlfriend and I went to try it and were able, luckily, to get a walk-in spot for two in the Bar area. First of all, the thing I noticed was the prices. The inside feels, and is, upscale but the prices are MORE than fair. I honestly was expecting it to be considerably more expensive. The atmosphere was very upscale, lights were dim, and it was cozy. The food was probably one of the best Italian dishes I’ve had since being in the area. So the quality plus the price make this a gem in my mind. The service in the Bar area was a little hit or miss though, but I feel that might be a little to be expected.
Elegant. Classic. Delicious. My favorite Italian Restaurant in Va Beach! My mouth waters when I think of the Rock fish! (when in season). The service has been exceptional for 30+ years! My husband and I love eating here during the holidays,(baked lasagna and fettuccini) especially New Years Eve. We have enjoyed many family meals and date nights plus my daughter's rehearsal dinner was perfect in their private dining room. Live music on occasions too!
Top Italian restaurant in Virginia Beach by far. Both Ben our server and Rob were polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable which made the dining experience very memorable. Lots of great wine choices and the Veal Parmesan I had was cooked to perfection. Definitely will come back again.
This is a lovely restaurant with the best food and service! I love there drinks as well.. This is my go to restaurant when I want to enjoy a good meal and atmosphere.
