Best WLM Reviews
The Memphis is delicious with central BBQ on top and coleslaw. highly recommend checking this place out i like all their pizzas I’ve tried. The meatballs are a win. If you get Garlic knots, get it with the Vodka sauce (it’s amazing). The atmosphere is fun and family friendly. The staff is friendly and the service good. I tried out the spaghetti and it wasn’t too bad. Overall it’s a little expensive and they do include an automatic gratuity of 20%, but it’s still a must try if you want pizza in Memphis. If you do takeout the service is pretty quick. I’d call ahead about 30 minutes.
I would recommend Aldo's to anyone looking for a high-quality pizza in the midtown area. The pizzas come out piping hot and very delicious, leaning towards a New York-style crust. Wait staff is on point and everyone inside seemed happy to be there enjoying or serving great pizza. Taking their pizza to-go is a good option too. Special shout out to their vodka sauce - super flavorful with a bit of a kick - get it either on the pie or on the side for dipping. Check your receipt and ask for an itemized copy if need be, as Aldo's adds 20% to every dine-in check and I believe 7% to take-out. I totally understand why the business would add gratuity, and there are several very clear signs both in the building and on the menu that state this, which is appreciated.
My friend and I decided to tried Aldo's on August 31st, 2024 and it definitely was worth it. When we walked inside the restaurant we were greeted immediately and waste no time getting in our seats. Our server Ashley made sure we didn't have to wait long for our order. Ashley kept checking on us to make sure our orders are right. My friend and I tried the garlic knots with the tomato sauce was a perfect appetizer before our pizzas. I decided to build my own pizza with pepperoni, caramelized onion, and bacon. The caramelized onion were a little too burnt for me, but the pepperoni, bacon, and the crust helped neutralize the burnt flavor of the onion. Definitely a place I will go again.
First time to this establishment. Ordered the Trex pizza and white bean humis. The food was delicious. Hope to return soon.
I'd argue this is one of the best pizza places in Memphis when it comes to thin pizza, fresh ingredients, great taste.
Personally me and the wife love getting the vodka cheese pizza with meatballs or the cajun chicken. We dang near get it everytime we go. The vodka sauce they make is so damn good. The garlic knot and meatball appetizers are good as well. Always gonna get one or the other when we eat in instead of takeout.
The service has always been great here. They are busy sometimes we go, but them taking a little longer to get to you when they are busy is not a bad thing. The pizza is worth the wait.
The place isn't too big so if you are wanting to bring a large amount of people at once I dot know if I'd recommend it. However, it has seating inside and on a balcony upstairs. The place is always super clean and the vibe is great.
Picture is of the vodka cheese pizza with meatballs.
We were craving a late night dinner and stumbled upon Aldo's pizza. It had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. Customer service was good at the bar where you order. The server was nice and we struck up a good conversation about the eclipse that happened earlier that day. We ordered to go and the pizza came out at a reasonable time. It was fresh and delicious ???? Forgot which one we ordered, but it hit the spot! Would definitely recommend!
This was based on a May 2024 visit
I happened to try this place as I was stopping through Memphis and unfortunately it wasn’t the flavor profile that I expected, but they seem to be a pretty popular place to eat. A bit bland though. I like the pizza crust.
This is the best pizza in Memphis! You can tell the crust is fresh like home made. Pizza is my fav food so I think I’m a professional! Lol
We ordered the garlic knots, stuffed peppers and meatballs for apps. They were all absolutely delicious but the peppers were on another level good!!
On to the pizza!! I ordered the Vodka pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms with extra cheese!! I’m in love and in heaven!! Best I’ve ever had and I’m Italian! My son ordered the Memphis which is bbq pizza and he said it was the best he ever had! My other son ordered the Truffle Trippy and we all loved it!
We sat outside on their upstairs patio which was awesome since the weather was great! Service was outstanding! We are pretty over the top demanding and they wowed us! If you love great food please give them a try! Oh and please don’t forget to order extra vodka sauce to dip the pizza in!!
