This place exceeded all expectations. The food was outstanding, the service was great and the portions were absolutely magnificent. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Persian/Irani food at its finest.
I ordered take out and told them I would like extra green sauce along with butter instead they give me 4 bags of bread with 2 small cups of green sauce and 2 butter chips. I picked up 2 meals and we both love the green sauce with the food. This holding back sucks, couldn’t even enjoy the food.
Victor consistently meets and greets us with a beaming smile. He's very professional and attentive to cater to customer needs and is always happy to accommodate special food requirements for all occasions. Recently, my Iranian brother in law, Alex Shirazi, passed away, and his widow wife (my sister) chose Alborz to take about 50 people to lunch post church funeral service on Monday December 4th 2024. All the guests and I were highly impressed with the friendly staff, service, meal presentation, and atmosphere ????.
I recently visited this place, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to the rude and unfriendly service. The server was cold and dismissive, barely making any effort to assist us. The food was average, but the poor service really overshadowed the meal. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience.
Overall nothing amazing but not bad. Lamb shank was tender and the soup that the lamb shank was in is very good, probably my favorite thing that I had there. The rice dishes were only ok probably would not order it again. The spicy green sauce that comes with the bread in the beginning is good, I recommend getting some extra of those and mixing it with the rice if your order comes with rice.
Alborz was recommended to us by friends who are locals and it was wonderful for Persian cousins. I would highly recommend the place, and will be back when visiting the DC/VA area. Food tastes great and portions were are generous (excellent quality and quantity)
I love this place, I had 3 guests from CA and wanted to take them to a nice Persian Restaurant, I don’t know what happen to this place, the rice smelled and the meat smelled. very disappointed and to be honest I was embarrassed for bringing my Guest there. The management should note that and should take care of this. The RICE and MEAT is the main thing in a Persian Restaurant. The Baklava and tea were delicious, The service is also great. TBH
Dined-in for the second time for lunch and the experience was even better than our last visit.
We’ve decided to get some appetizers and order three options from menu and share and taste all in one visit!
