They don’t call it “Alberto’s “Authentic”Mexican Cuisine for nothing! Our overall cost was bumped up a bit by our ordering 2 Alberto’s margaritas each they were so tasty! Food was equal cost to alcohol but worth every cent. Started with a spectacular ceviche with chips. I had Alberto’s tacos with peppers, my husband had fajitas pork which were massive and he said amazing. No room for dessert, just finished those moorish margaritas and walked home feeling fabulously full!
While in Big Sky MT around 2:30pm Saturday August 24th 2024, my wife and I decided to get a late lunch and saw Alberto’s. We went in and asked if we could eat outside since they hardly had anyone there and plenty of tables available. We were told those tables are for 4 or more people and we could not have those tables. We asked if we could eat inside by the window. We were told no that table is for 4 people. We were told we could only have a corner table (4 seats I might ad). I said no we will take this one by the window. Waiter said if you sit there we will not serve you. I said ok we can just leave, waiter said “that’s your choice”…. So we left. Ridiculous and insulting. Especially since it was late afternoon, off season, hardly anyone in there. We will never eat there. I recommend against going here. Horrible customer service!
Don’t know what others are complaining about. Price is good for Big Sky. Our service was amazing! Drinks, apps, and meals came out fast on a Saturday. Most importantly, the food tasted amazing! This isn’t your American/Mexican food. Flavor is MUCH better! Very satisfied!
We stopped for lunch and it was not very crowded. The decor and atmosphere are above average, but the service is extremely slow. The menu is traditional Mexican but they do not have Nachos. And the cheese queso is not traditional cheese you get in true Mexican restaurants. I’m hoping the other Mexican restaurant located here offers better service and menu.
Had a decent time. Food was pretty good. Portions small. Enchiladas did not come with rice and beans yet most places include them. Refill for Salsa cost extra. Restrictions on the combos and couldn't add what kind of sauce you wanted.
Pobalno Cream Enchiladas: Beef was very good in them and overall the sauce was quite nice. No beans or rice or an option to add. portion size decent $22
Chile Verde Pork: small portion for the price $18. Beans were watery and lqcked good flavor. Overall good flavor on pork but small pieces.
Very busy, our waitress was nice but didn't provide us much time.
Restrictions and no substitutes was disappointing.
Salsa very good. They provide a large bowl of it.
Prices high for what you get. Menu prices and online website do not reflect each other well.
Chile relleno would have been better with chicken or beef in it but it comes with cheese , a lot of cheese. The salsa was pretty good not hot , chips and guacamole were good. Service was great .
We were on vacation in big sky and this was our last day, it was definitely worth it! The food came out super fast, under 10 minutes! The burrito and El Pastor tacos were delicious and super authentic! This is as good as tacos I’ve had in Puerto Vallarta! The Salsa Verde on my burrito was so good and spicy!
The food and the service are both good. The menu is just a piece of paper, but, it is easy to understand. The dishes are served to the table at once, so we can have a photo with all the food. The price is really good and food is in large portion.
The only thing surprised me is the quesadilla. On the menu, it should be a 6 inch one, but we got 3 small ones. They taste good, but they look like tacos for me (I am not an expert in Mexico food, so I might be wrong)
The shrimp ceviche has the shrimp cooked, which is a good thing to me, since it might be intimidating for some people to consume raw shrimp.
The house salad is huge and cheap.
