BONES and Burritos
I have gone here for years and typically this chain and its family chains are good. Last 2 times not so good.
Order 1- Chile Relleno Burrito- My wife loved it.
Order 2- Carnitas Burrito- loosely wrapped. Very oily and not strained meat. A large 3/4” sharp bone chip in the meat. I called the store and told the guy that answered the phone that I was calling to make them aware of the problem. He said we don’t have bones in our meat. Well he was argumentative so I quickly let him know how I felt about that. He stayed defensive and said I could bring it back. I told him I wasn’t trying to get a free burrito but wanted them to know the problem. He said is there anything else, and I asked for his name. He replied I don’t give out my name because it makes me feel uncomfortable. He stated there was no manager. Maybe someone else should consider opening a restaurant nearby with better service and no bones.
I stopped by while at a local football game. I always order the same, carne asada fries. Place looked clean, area doesn't give you much to look out at. Food came fast, called out from the counter. Portion was large. Meat was bland and grisly, at one point having to pull a chunk from my throat. The sauce came in a small sealed pouch and was bland as well. 3 out of 5, wouldn't recommend their carne asada.
Food was ok. Nothing great. The service was not good. The guy working there seemed unhappy. He was not rude but not friendly. He was bad enough that I wanted a drink but didn't want to go up there to order it because I didn't want the attitude.
Drive thru quick n easy to order, helpful window staff offers salsa and extra info for the next time. Food still hot at home, taste like they know what they are doing.
This is my first review of a restaurant, ever. I was going to order lunch, but asked to use the restroom first. The guy at the counter was rude and obstinate. He told me I couldn’t have the bathroom code until I paid for something. That the restroom was for customers only, ignoring that I was about to eat at this establishment.
I have a disability—I have a very limited window to use the restroom before I piss on the floor. Would that have been a better solution? Piss my pants during the check out process? We went through the drive through to order after I was turned away, because we were still hungry. The man refused to let me use the restroom until we came to the window and paid.
I’ve been a server, and I’ve worked in a lot of restaurants. I get that working in a to-go environment can be difficult, is a lot of hard work, and you have to deal with a myriad of crazy people, but I’m clearly not a crackhead—I’m a regular person that needed to use the restroom before I ate a burrito.
C’mon, use some discernment and respect your customers. This is basic human decency.
Taco Bell is across the street and they have no problem with a drive through customer using the restroom before they pay.
Just Asada Nachos
I just wanted super nachos with carne asada but no sour cream. Emphasised no sour cream.
And this is what I get.
I would go back and complain to get my order right, but the employees already seem agitated. Pissed off because they work there so they put bodily fluids into people's orders for fun.
So I am stuck with an empty stomach and some nachos that I do not want to eat.
So, 3 stars because it may be the best food when you're wasted and need something to eat at 0300.
But you're not going to impress a date or your stomach by eating at this place. Or for any other occasion.
Only use as a last resort.
I SPECIFICALLY told them NO CHEESE ONLY BEANS IN MY BURRITOS!! Even the guy taking my order told the cook NO CHEESE and he put cheese! Check your orders before leaving the drive thru.
Asked for 3 burritos and they messed it all up. Why is it so hard to listen ?? Definitely will. Never be back here
