Absolutely disgusting! They're not even trying anymore! Our family goes here probably four times a month. About a year ago I gave it a four star rating. I've changed it to a one star now because they have been slacking so bad over the past several months: dry meat, old fries, egg shells in the breakfast burritos. Our recent trip however pushed me over the edge and I'm never going back. This is the second time in a row that it's happened...day(s) old french fries being used in the breakfast burritos. ???? Usually the french fries are white/golden brown like everywhere else. But the past two times we've gone there the french fries that they put in the breakfast burritos are clearly old. And I don't mean hours old, I mean days old. I've included a picture. In the picture they may look burned but that's not what's going on. These french fries have been reheated somehow (but they were very soggy so they probably were not refried in the deep fryer). I'm a home chef so I know that they have been reheated more than once. And the taste was horrible! I pulled out as many as I could so that I could take a picture. They were like this in all three of the burritos that we ordered. Three people ate them and two of us had stomach problems later in the night. I could understand if this was a simple mistake but they knowingly put those in all three burritos. They could visually see that there was a problem so why did they use them?! I would have happily waited 5 or 10 minutes for fresh food, especially considering it's almost $8 per burrito. I'm so disappointed in them. (The yellow things in the picture are eggs, all of the brown stuff are french fries).
I get the sopes de asada and my experience is great. The masa is made authentic, they might make them fresh maybe?. And they are great for sopes ???? I recommend
What can I say, I've been here 3 times in a row to give them a chance but there is always a problem. The first time they forgot my rice and beans for the combo plate, the second time they forgot the chilies, and the third AND FINAL time I'll ever go here is when all my food was cold. As a cook, I can tell this was all PREMADE HOURS AGO, that is just disgusting. The food was chewy, a cause of having the food stay out and fester in a room temperature environment that made me immediately use the restroom after. This is such a disappointment for a Mexican food chain, you can find 100x better food on the side of the road and these people have a RESTAURANT at their disposal. What a waste of time and money. QUICK IS NOT BETTER, ITS LAZY AND CARELESS. Go to a taco stand and save yourself the trouble.
Employee always with a smile always so helpful best food ever always warm and good. She’s always making sure my food is correct. Alberto’s most recommended.
This food did not taste good at all. I ordered my family asada fries, asada nachos, and tacos. Tacos were big but the food was horrible. There were no beans on anything, the meat did not taste good. To bad the food was so nasty because the people working there are nice. Was looking forward to making this my spot, the location on Mission in front of the Tikki drive in is way better.
Asada burrito had no flavor . Bad .got asked about salsa in burrito but it was dry . No salsa.never go back again. I rather starve
I went to this place because my other place was closed this is not the 1st time I have been disappointed. I ordered fish tacos the fish was hard and almost burnt. It had no flavor and the tortillas seemed to be old and very hard to bite through. I should have went with my first instinct and drove to the one on mission...lesson learned ????
We are really happy we found this place! We’re from San Diego where there’s taco shops on every corner lol! We’ve tried several taco shops and have not been able to fulfill our craving. I got the supreme rolled tacos and really enjoyed them! My boyfriend got the CA burrito and he also loved it but next time he wants to request for it the fries to be a little crispy. Overall very great food and for a great price! Not to mention the cashier was so friendly so we will definitely have to be back next time we’re craving Mexican taco shop food.
