I got a California burrito. First 3/4 of it was good. Got to the last 1/4. And felt something sharp in my mouth. Spit this piece of metal out. Maybe from a grill cleaner brush bristle or something. It's a sharp wire. I don't even want to think what would've happened had a swallowed that! Or if God forbid my 3 year old got that in the bites I gave her of my burrito. Won't be going here again.
Usually this place is great but today I stopped in and got four beef tacos. Got to work and opened them up and they were NOT what I ordered. In addition to that they have to be some of the worst tacos I have EVER had. The oil used to fry the tortillas was old and tasted horrible. I ordered them with no lettuce but the lettuce was in them. The worst tasting lettuce I've ever had. The tacos were rough and just basically sucked. Tried to call them to figure this out and they won't answer the phone which is the only reason I'm posting this to a public forum.
Adding two dollars to a single burrito because someone is using a debit card should definitely not be necessary with what you guys charge for a burrito. I've never had a liquor store try anything over a $5 card minimum. I've never had anybody else in Colorado Springs charge me an additional fee for using a card unless I was at a dispensary. I understand you guys used to get that drug money back in the day and supposedly that's not a thing anymore but just pulling money out of thin air might not be your place in life post cocaine. Nothing you make is worth paying an extra fee for with all the other options near you.
Honestly, the food taste and quality doesn't differentiate this place much from any of the other Mexican fast casual restaurants around town. However, out of the 5-10 times I have been here the food always ends up tasting decent and this is one of the only fast casual places I have found that serves pico de gallo & guacamole with their quesadillas. Usually I will order them as sides if the restaurant does not provide it, and it ends up costing several dollars extra.
AMAZING FOOD, SERVICE, AND QUALITY! Albertacos is amazing, just want to start with, I just had the worst experience with a commercial food delivery (Dominoes) although the manager the NEXT day fixed it. Couldn't find anywhere open, and luckily came across Albertacos (at one in the morning) and they delivered, in SO many ways! Opened my carne asada fries and I was in shock (see photos), even after stirring, so much delicious meat AND, it was still warm. The kids (4) all destroyed the cheese quesadilla and the rolled tacos (also pictured, covered in cheese, because my wife and I ordered our own). After all that amazing deliciousness, I opened the chicken enchilada (which is the only way I choose to rate any mexican food) to find a chicken-packed, cheese covered, delicious piece of heaven (and there were two)! I was not even disappointed for half a second and even called to tell the manager (Laura (spelling)) how amazing it truly was! I HATE complaining about food! I enjoy letting people know when it is right! Too many people complain and just expect great food. Dont you work better when praised? Spend more time appreciating this fine art! THANK YOU ALBERTACOS!
Honestly have been coming to this place off and on for over a decade, but recently moved and I’m closer again so I go often because they’re open late.
But the lady at the window knows that I always ask for 2 green sauces instead of red, and tonight I forgot to ask but she actually remembered and did it for me. It was just super nice of her to remember, little things mean the most sometimes.
We stopped here with my husband's family because they used to eat here years ago. I'm from the southwest and this should not be considered good Mexican food.
CONS
- The staff was condescendingly rude and snapped at my husband when he inquired about our order and snapped at me for asking if they had spoons (they don't).
- It was around 5pm and no one was there but our food order took a long time.
- No high chairs for toddlers.
- Food was expensive.
- Food didn't taste good and looked questionable. The beans were grayish brown. My husband ended up sick that night.
PROS
- The restaurant looked clean but I can't comment on the bathrooms.
They never pay attention to order details so they never get it completely correct. Really unfriendly employees any time I've gone. I just noticed today they have a sign up saying there is a 3.99 "customer service fee" added to All orders. For what? They need to pay there employees better. They ALWAYS ask for a tip too...at the fast food pick up window! Wth? Used to be good, but too many anti customer changes have taken place. If you have food delivered their delivery fee has tripled! On top of tip and cust svc fee. No thank you.
