Best WLM Reviews

Great food! I love that side options include a rib or hot link. Staff was prompt. Meat was moist and flavorful. The music was not to my liking, but the rest of the atmosphere was really wonderful - good space and fun style.
They somehow managed to make BBQ with zero flavor. Brisket was so fatty and un-rendered, half was wasted. Zero smoke ring or color, basically flavorless roast beef strips. Pulled pork tasted like shredded chicken, again no flavor. No smoke flavor in anything. Beans were inedible with a very sour flavor along with burnt toast. Sauce was the closest to McDonald's you will find. Coleslaw was the only halfway decent thing and it was still pretty watery. I'm no stranger to BBQ from all over the US and had always wanted to try Albert G's. Very, very disappointed. Only finished it because I paid for it. Staff was nice and friendly
Brisket was so dry. Mac and cheese is bland. Sausage and bologna are just ok.. Best thing on my plate was the fried okra. Spent $41 for 2 people. Very disappointed. Will never be back....
My family and I ate here on a Thursday evening. We had a great waiter, and the food was awesome! We did have about 15 people in our group.
Okay let’s get into it.
I’m from OKC born and raised now living in Texas.
I made a stop to get some Oklahoma BBQ here.
Maybe we do BBQ different in Oklahoma City. Our bbq culture is more uniform in nature. Take what I say as biased view.
Ribs: 3 stars. - they had very little meat and lacked the tender pull typically associated with ribs
Hotlinks: 3 stars. I’m use to red casing hotlinks. One thing I pride myself on are red casing hotlinks in Oklahoma. Also the grain or the meat was off a little
Bologna: 2 stars. Looking at a cross sectional cut of the bologna revealed a small smoke ring making the center of the bologna smokeless. The bologna also was thinly cut
BBQ sauce: 4.5 stars. They nailed it. Perfect sweet and heat combo
Okra 4.5 stars. Great crunch and flavor.
Baked beans 2.5 stars. I’m used to a darker consistency from being smoked and the bbq sauce content. Their’s felt more like pork n beans with a little bbq sauce

If I were an out of towner not from central Oklahoma I’d say stop in
We had a trouble experience. The food was very dry and tough as leather. We had to hunt down someone to refill our drinks. The server had a bad attitude. I guess it was because we had to hunt her down or someone to get service. We were charged 18% gratuity and we should have been given our money back because of the trouble food and service. We seat with our son (a firefighter), his wife, 20 year old grandson (a firefighter) it was his birthday, a second grandson. They were watching a 24 mouth old and a baby. My wife and shared a three meat with water and a tea on one check. Our son, his wife, the two grandsons were on one check with a Mac and Cheese for the two year old and the baby had nothing. They don't deserve one star for anything but I have to put something.
2023 - Service was good at 4:30 on a weekday afternoon. Atmosphere was pleasant, country music playing not too loud. Restaurant clean, seated quickly & drinks ordered. Food was hot. Salad had loads of bacon, unable to pick it off & waitress replaced quickly. Brisket was tender and tasty, just a little dry. Sauce not as spicy as what I'm used to. Potato salad a little sweet, coleslaw nice texture but dressing lacks zip (acid). Okra well done, crisp. More meat than I can eat, loads of okra. Salad a little plain for the $2 upcharge, imo - just romaine, tomatoes, cheese (and bacon). We will be back for sandwich special some Monday lunch. EDIT 6/29/23 2nd visit we ordered one plate plus a side salad and split everything. The brisket was perfect and 4 thick slices were just right for 2 people. EDIT 8/26/24 3rd visit (we must like it) the okra looked good but was extra greasy and so hard you couldn't stick a fork in it. When we complained, waiter brought us sweet potato waffle fries. ????
The service is always excellent. It seems the portions of the meat seem to be less and less, but it is one of the best barbecue spots in Tulsa. The baked beans need some help and so does the potato salad, but it will work! Albert Gs is always clean sand conveniently located in a great area. I would suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.
