Best WLM Reviews
Our 15th 'cue stop in Oklahoma, and the 398th nationwide, brought us to the Downtown location. On street parking proved easy at one in the afternoon, and the building was an architectural gem. Be sure and admire the ceiling here!
The food had its ups and downs. We ordered a dozen wings, queso and chips, and ribs with okra and broccoli. Two refillable iced teas brought the tab to $55.34 plus a nice tip for good service. The ribs, with their rub leaning to the peppery side, were very good, and needed no help from either of the two sauces on the table. The broccoli was broccoli, but the fried okra was very well done and thoroughly enjoyed. We also liked the brisket queso, and intend to play around with this dish when we get home. Alas, the wings were dry and curiously lacking in flavor; it took generous dollops of the ranch dressing to redeem them.
So, a mixed bag, with the ribs and okra solid choices-- and don't forget to pay a visit to the well organized pickle bar!
We went here at the recommendation of some locals. I ordered pulled pork and sliced brisket with sweet pot and broccoli. Broccoli and sweet pot were both great.
So, the meat was much drier than I expected. I kept adding barbie sauce, and the meat would soak it up like a sponge. The meat never actually undried.
The chicken wings came with sauce on the side. Imagine cooking chicken, then a house fire erupts. You grab everything of value and run for safety. The fire department puts out the fire, and you are let back in. At this point, you find your chicken perfect cooked, but tastes like a house fire. IYKYK. That is the best description of their wings.
So why give them five starts? $17 for my meal, and I did not eat again for 22 hours. Not because the food was bad. It was so filling that eatting again was not necessary.
You absolutely get your monies worth at Albert G's.
Albert G’s is serious. This is sick chicken wings on the appetizer list are a must have. This place is fresh and hot. Super clean super delicious and if you’re thirsty, you know what’s up????????????????. I’d say Bdubs is in trouble
Decent place in Tulsa for barbecue. The ribs are amazing, definitely get the ribs. Everything else was OK. Not bad, but nothing the wright home about. I had a three meet combo plate…ribs, pulled pork, brisket, potato salad, coleslaw, side of hot link, and someone else had the barbecue beans which I tried. Again, everything was just OK except for the ribs, those were amazing.
Visiting Tulsa and had an excellent BBQ dinner. There is a gluten free menu available online. The picture is the 2 Meat Combo with Tulsa style ribs, chopped brisket, potato salad, and coleslaw. Unsweetened ice tea available and they were generous with the refills. The coleslaw was an all around favorite. The service was friendly, attentive, and unrushed. The building was a good temperature for anyone that might be looking for a restaurant to escape the heat. A good local spot for casual dining with 2 others locations in the area. Would definitely return again.
We took our Son and Daughter-in-law back to Tulsa, and My husband recommended this place for good Barbecue he said he had eaten there several times because they had good food. He was so right! Their Brisket sandwiches were good, both sliced and chopped. They had delicious meaty, tender ribs, their Mac & Cheese was also good and as well as their potato salad. The atmosphere was cool, very family friendly. Our Server Mariah was very nice and attentive.
I will go back when I go visit our Son and Daughter-in-law. I recommend you try it if you're in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Had a great dinner at Albert G's BBQ.
We started with the nachos. Not bad, good flavor, a little stingy on the cheese sauce. The menu states smothered in cheese... not at all smothered. But the flavor was very good, the jalapeños were very warm, have a drink close by.
I had the slider sandwiches, the pulled pork was great, the brisket was good, the BLT was ok... the bacon was smoked and the smoke flavor was extremely overwhelming. Would have been fine on a burger or another sandwich but it was too much for just bacon. My friend had a pick 2 meat combo. The turkey was fantastic! So juicy!
Service was top-notch, I wish I had gotten his name, so friendly.
I recommend and would return.
On the same business trip that I went to the Vintage Steakhouse in Morrison Oklahoma, I had the opportunity to check this place out. Those that follow my reviews know that I have to check out the BBQ places. I was told to try this place. It was delicious. I got the two meat plate - Brisket and pork, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, and as you all know I have to try the banana pudding. It was all very delicious. The sauces were good. I will go here again at the end of the month when I’m back in Tulsa. As it rates to my overall favorite BBQ place I would rate it in the top 10 because of Food, Friendliness, and atmosphere. Banana pudding I would rate in top 20. It was good and tasted like banana pudding should but I’m looking for something to knock my socks off. I will be recommending this place to co-workers.
