Visited earlier this week with acute bronchitis. The waiting room was full of patients and it took a long time for staff to work through the queue. I felt they were pretty efficient dealing with that patient load. One can't expect miracles when that many people are seeking treatment.
Once they got to me, I found the medical care to be responsive, thoughtful, and compassionate. Kudos to Sam (the admitting staff member) and Sara (the physicians assistant).
I've visited both WellNow Urgent Care and this AMC location, and I can confidently say this one stands out. It's cleaner, more professional, and the staff here are incredibly welcoming. Deborah and Sam at the front desk were especially helpful and made the experience even better."
Dr. Robert Ordish is genuinely the best. He is consistently respectful and extremely knowledgeable in his field. My entire family has received treatment from him over the years. Most recently, he took care of my 3-year-old, who had a severe toe injury; he skillfully removed her nail and treated the injury. He often follows up with a phone call to check on his patients, which reflects the kind of professional he is. He is an excellent doctor who provides the highest quality of care that one could hope for during times of illness. We need more professionals like him in the field.
Horrible experience!! The staff who check in patients are incompetent and rude. I went in when I cut the tip of my finger off and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour with my hand wrapped in a towel and two people who came in after me were seen before me. When I finally was taken to a room, the PA bandaged my hand and told me she would be back to give me a tetanus shot and give me my discharge directions. She never returned to my room. After sitting there for 30 min I went into the hallway and heard her in with another patient. I had been there 3.5 hours and I had a fever and had lost a good deal of blood, so I left. there was actually blood on the floor from my cut because I bled through the towel I brought. They should be shut down!!! I will never go there again. Going to report to the BBB and attorney general's office. How this place is allowed to stay open is unbelievable. Please to NOT go there. I wanted to give this place a 0 but they don't have that as an option.
This place was great, the office wasnt bad at all, got me in quick, and were GREAT when they checked me out. Helped me very much. I will come back here anytime i need an Urgent Care!!
Edit July 3, 2024. Sent my medication to the wrong pharmacy not once but twice. The front office staff is incompetent. No DRs on site, just PAs. Staff is nice and professional. Got to interact with both office staff. 1st office staff ignores the fact that I tell her I have new insurance via my job and is now the primary coverage. I verbally say it, and put it in writing. I hand her my new card. The new insurance is the same company that manages my medicaid, but the new insurance has a completely different ID number than my medicaid card. 1st office staff ignores all this, rolls her face across the keyboard, and does not enter or confirm my new insurance. Get seen by the PA. Not a long wait. PA checks me out, thumbs up there. Check out and office person 2 is like you're all good, no copay. I was like there is absolutely a co-pay your system is billing the wrong coverage. Hand her my new card again and she fixes it. I pay my copay and I am on my way. Awesome. While the sample size is small, n of 1, 50% of your front desk staff seem to not understand insurance or rules related to medicaid. This is where billing issues start. Glad I was smart enough to catch it and save myself the never ending loop of medicaid being billed improperly, the claim being denied, and being balance billed by the office.
They have always gotten us in quickly. Much faster than the ER. We have gone there a lot, never a bad experience
The worst place to go. Treated like garbage by the two big backed receptionist. The rudest individuals you could ever encounter. They most definitely should be taking out the trash and not attending to the sick public. I ended leaving and going to WellNow.
