This was a great urgent care experience. My sister had a cut to her finger and we were unsure if needed to be seen. We called and the front desk was kind and compassionate. They were able to reassure us and have her come in for evaluation. She ended up needing stitches in her finger. The medical assistant was wonderful as well. The Physician Assistant my sister saw was Steven Weaver, he was very progressional and explained everything in detail. She had stitches placed and was comfortable was numbing injection. They took very good care of her and we will be back for any urgent care needs to this location. Her finger is well healed now without infection and minimal scarring as expected! Trustworthy providers.
Between having to go for my own health issues & my son's, I truly feel safe and in great hands with this facility and Steven Weaver. He is not only extremely knowledgeable but cares deeply for all his patients.
Also always a thorough and quick diagnosis and responsive for any additional follow up questions. So grateful to have someone so amazing to count on.
Thank you!
A family member was recently discharged from Albany Med after undergoing surgery. There was an issue with their injury/incision on a Friday night and we returned to Alb Med ED. We were in the ED for 11 hours overnight and they were discharged with no concerns. Another issue arose and the surgeon wasn’t able to get us in right away. We were concerned about a possible infection and were told to seek medical treatment if we had these concerns . It was suggested we go to this location as it’s part of Albany Med system. When we arrived, there were a few people in the waiting room, but we were seen in a timely manner by 3 staff, the x-ray tech, who did the intake, a nursing student and a PA. All staff were very compassionate and patient. The PA was thorough in examining the injury, what to expect in the healing process and came up with a plan for my relative to reduce the likelihood of an infection while they were waiting to be seen for follow up by the surgeon. The time and stress was significantly less than returning to the ED. So a huge THANK YOU to this team. We would definitely return here if we required additional medical care.
Came in today around 315 for my daughter somebody in the waiting room complained about the wait so I went to the counter to ask. We were waiting less than 20 minutes at this time. How long the wait would be the young woman behind the counter Black glasses was very rude and said we don’t know everybody’s here for something different so I said approximately how long would the wait be and she rudely yelled over me we don’t know everyone’s here for something different, I would go somewhere else where people are caring and they actually enjoy being at their job. I usually use this facility, but this will be the last time I come here unfortunately we decided to leave because her attitude was horrible.
Everytime I come to this urgent care I am welcomed with great energy and taken care of within a good time frame! recommend.
People there were very rude and the bald doctor was miserable and treated me like garbage. He also acted like I was only there for a work note. Didn’t even run any exams on me
I will never go to this place again. I had 2 infections that I was told could not be treated at once a UTI and bronchitis. The uti was painful and took a couple days to clear up. I get pretty severe symptoms when I do have them so i was in bed for 2 days given the fatigue kicks my butt, plus my body is trying to fight off bronchitis So doc told me to come back if needed because most likely the antibiotics would not cover both things. So I was out of work for 3 days went back and was with a PA named Kaitlyn, told her what was going in even with my patient chart she was clueless and kept questioning why i thought I had bronchitis I told her because the other doc here diagnosed me with it along with symptoms meanwhile by that time im wheezing can’t breathe and felt like by that point I had pneumonia. She tells me my lungs are clear but gave me some weird excuse as to why she was deciding to write me another antibiotic as if I didn’t warrant it. When I looked at the paperwork she said in it I came in for a cough, but then wrote she written that she was giving me antibiotics to cover pneumonia. But didn’t validate in any way my suspicion. Meanwhile this girl pretty much was gaslighting me and left me feeling like I was delusional. She didn’t even look in my chart just to SEE I was there days earlier for the Uti and bronchitis. It felt demeaning. Then refused to write me a doctors note for the time I was ill with the uti and bronchitis because she said she couldn’t forge another doctor signature, Like I am not asking her to do that, I was asking her to look at my chart for proof that I had been sick with both so she i was sick as a dog for 7 days with a compromised immune system due to a long term illness I have. And she refuses to write me anything except for times I was physically in office. (2 days) She was acting like I was trying to con for god sakes! I was floored and disgusted that someone would use their advantage of being a healthcare provider mind you a service I AM paying for to treat people like that. Not only that I am 41 years old I know my body, and when I am sick. And to feel like someone especially no offense but some 20 year old is insulting your intelligence is just so disrespectful. I was just so shocked and disappointed with this experience. I don’t deserve that and neither does anyone else. I demanded to speak with first provider who was actually really helpful but then she lied even on my vm saying the complete opposite of what she told me in the office. . She told me the antibiotics should have covered both things! This place is dysfunctional as hell and my experience sadly. I went to my PCP which she Gave me a proper doctors note with an extra day to rest. Thank God for other healthcare providers who are actually sensitive to patients needs.
I recently visited this Urgent Care after falling and seriously injuring my knee. My first impression in the reception area was not pleasing. The receptionist was fairly attentive if not a bit cool. The worst part of the reception area was the obnoxious music loudly playing, which was a form of music popular with today’s youngsters. EXPLICIT lyrics in every song and strong sexual themes. Not exactly calming to someone frazzled and in pain waiting for medical care I truly hope this changes and soon. It’s extremely inconsiderate to your clientele.
That being said, once my turn to be seen arrived I was taken back to the procedures room where the PA and a med student tended to my needs. They were very caring and professional. I was very impressed with the med student who got to practice her suture techniques on my laceration, with my permission of course. I went home feeling the care I received by the medical staff was professional and considerate.
I just hope you better train your reception staff to be more considerate of the state of mind of the people coming in for medical services. It’d be great if the attitude and atmosphere were more professional.
