This is one of my favorite places. The food is always consistent. The pork chop is insanely huge and flavorful.. love the tuna Tata.. They have great pizza as well.. The bartenders are mixologist. Bolognese is always a favorite as well. Pretty authentic.
Went for thanksgiving, the waiter was fantastic, the drinks and food were very good. The dishes did come out very cold, like leftovers after you've gotten home cold. They brought us out new dishes. Both tasted good. They were out of all pies when we got there (5pm I believe) and out of several other deserts by the time we ordered them. Everything was still very tasty and I'll probably be back. Soup was hot and very yummy.
We came to Albas for a going away party. New England weather had been unseasonably warm lately, but this evening, there was a chill to the air. Upon arriving at Albas, we were greeted by one of their employees who held the door open and greeted us warmly. Not only was that a pleasant surprise, but the warmth coming from the heat of the restaurant took the chill off from the outside. The hostess was pleasant and directed us to where our party had already started. We were set up in the back area behind the bar. The lighting is a little dim, but the giant bay window allows the light to come in. We had a buffet that consisted of oysters, giant cocktail shrimp, ceasar salad, pasta, meatballs, chicken, and pizza. Then we had a dessert sampler. The waiters were extremely attentive and quick. The food is always A-1. We've had several parties at this location, and they NEVER disappoint. Whether it is on the roof top in the summer or down in the restaurant area, Albas is classy and comfortable. The downstairs bar area has the games playing on several televisions. But it is not loud or overpowering where you can't hear the person speaking next to you. Great place to come after work for a nice meal with friendly staff. The restaurant side of Albas has a nice ambiance. Classy and chic, quiet and exclusive. Great place for a client or partner dinner or a nice place to go on a date. The staff on this side are very professional and also attentive. Your glass will never be empty, and your needs will always be met to the best of their ability. The food is delicious and filling. The prices, in my opinion, were reasonable for the quality and entire dining experience. Come visit Albas, you won't be disappointed.
Very attentive service. We only had to wait ~30 minutes for a 4 top on a very busy Saturday evening on the rooftop. The Lobster roll and clams were exceptional and tasted very fresh. Great menu on the rooftop with quite the variety of drinks and food.
While Alba Restaurant boasts an impressive ambiance and a menu filled with tantalizing options, I must admit that I won't be returning. Despite its reputation, I found the experience to be overrated. The food didn't quite live up to the hype, and the service was lacking in attentiveness. Overall, while it was a decent meal, it fell short of my expectations, and I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
I am not familiar with Quincy I was pleasantly surprised what a pretty festive area downtown was , beautiful buildings including Alba. $8.00 to valet Thank you very much. Big place huge bar area with lots of tables as well, restaurant side was good sized as well and the place was packed. Decor very nice. Service and I’m including the staff all of them hostesses, manager, waitress and kitchen help. Meals were prepared beautifully, good drinks, salads which they split for us delicious, Calamari was cooked so perfectly ( I did not like cocktail sauce with it , would prefer spicy marinara) basic baked haddock perfect, best pork chop I have ever tasted, meatballs, sorry did not work for us, all other sides were good, seafood Fra Diavlo was good but not spicy 8 layer chocolate cake was Amazing as well. I would definitely put this place on your list, it’s worth the ride.
Excellent food, servers are knowledgeable and professional and attentive. Steak is top notch. Lobster ravioli is excellent. Chocolate lave cake unreal. Fun atmosphere. Prices are very fair when the high quality of the food is considered. ❤️
We grab dinner with family at Alba. The restaurant was dim to create an ambiance and waiters were attentive and checked in on us frequently.
Grilled Octopus - The octopus was well seasoned and tender. Very easy to cut and was big enough to share with 6 people. Highly recommend.
Semolina Crusted Calamari - This dish also comes with fried banana peppers. The flavours of the banana peppers compliment very well with the calamari.
Braised Short Rib Gnocchi - A bit on the salty side but still very delicious. The portion was big enough I have enough leftover for lunch the next day.
