Fist time here and we love it! This is a very retro place. There are large older movie posters lining the walls and an overall retro feel here. We were here to see the Christmas Vacation movie. We had a pepperoni pizza and beer: the pizza was delicious!
We cannot wait to see more movies here!
It would be great if they showed the 1970’s Planet Of The Apes or Star Wars.
Definitely come here!!! Worth the experience!
I absolutely love this place! It's my go-to spot for a fun and relaxing night out. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. The theater is rarely crowded, so it's easy to find a good seat and enjoy the movie without distractions. Seats are pre-selected when you buy the ticket and they check to make sure you're in the right seat, so you don't have to kick someone out.
I especially appreciate the monthly pass, which allows me to go twice a month but could easily go every day if I wanted to! It's the perfect way to indulge in my love of movies without breaking the bank.
If you're looking for a great date night spot or just a fun night out with friends, I highly recommend checking out the Alamo Drafthouse. You won't be disappointed!
We had a very frustrating experience tonight. I took my kids to watch a new cartoon that just came out and they were excited to watch it. We decided to combine it with dinner, so Alamo was a good fit for the plan. Welp, we went hungry, ordered our chicken tenders before the movie started, after 40 minutes of waiting, I pinged the waiter, he said the kitchen was “backed up”, though people next to us who ordered after we did, already received their order. Kids were whining that they were hungry and we couldn't really pay attention to the movie. Another half an hour went by when they finally brought our food. 15 minutes later they brought a check. We asked for Coke refill twice - never got it. We ordered a kids milkshake - they brought an adult one, I pointed at the size, they brought the correct one, but at the end BOTH were on the bill. Ordered myself a burger with fries and side salad - got no fries????♀️. Every order/request - another mess up.
A rare night out with kids was ruined.
Don’t position yourself as a dine-in cinema, if you are unable to deliver. Want my money back for overpriced and underwhelming experience.
Server was Awesome!!! *Marcel*was kind and accommodating. Didn't make me feel bad Bout My awkward/Bipolar/ADD -self. Lol picture/sound/presentation was Top Notch. Ticket Counter *young Female* was fast, friendly and Awesome Too. Got the pretzel w/queso. Excellent. A tad too salty, but just brush that off. Flavor was Fantastico!!
Movie was Tales from The Crypt DEMON KNIGHT ???? a Great Time for myself, and less than twenty I'd say for the 10:45 showing. Psycho Cinema + Alamo Drafthouse ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ????
I used to love this theater, but they have completely abandoned everything that was good about it.
It is now 20 minutes after the movie was supposed to start and we are watching ads. We have been in our seats for 45 minutes and our drinks still aren’t here.
It is $11 for a pretzel. The ads are so loud, that my seat is literally shaking.
I don’t understand why a theater would make going to a movie such a miserable experience.
Took my daughter here. Ordered food and drinks. We received our food but our drinks came 30 min into the movie. I asked multiple times and they shrugged me off. I went to ask them in the galley and one of the staff was rude. I did not yell at the staff, just asked why it took me asking 4 times for our drinks… mgr came up and asked if I yelled. Absolutely not. I almost walked out … they brought the drinks 1/2 through the movie!!!!! This has been the worst experience I’ve had here out of the many times I’ve been and I’d rather go elsewhere to get my food/drinks before the movie.
This was my first Alamo experience, and it's not how I want to watch a movie.
First off, the map to pick my seats was misleading. It looked as if it was a standard modern recliner-type seating. In fact, I think it even said recliner seating. They were not, it was more like the old theater seats of the 90's. And I was blocked from the aisle in front of me by a bar.
All the people around eating food that smelled pretty bad. Service folks walking in front of my view the whole time.
I didn't make it through the whole movie and left as I wasn't enjoying the experience. I'll be avoiding this chain from now on.
Wow! This was amazing. It was my first time at this location and also my first time at Alamo Drafthouse in Virginia. I came for a movie party night for the movie Elf! I met some friends here, and we had a great time. I was surprised by the elf hat, balloon, and other things they gave us. We arrived early, had some drinks and appetizers in the bar area, and then went into the theater at about 6:30. The theater was packed as expected. I like the ambiance of the theater here, with a complete aisle where you don't need to stand up to let people go by and a full table with a drink holder. It was nice. Also, menus were on the table so I could decide what else to order. Later in the evening, I started out with pepperoni pizza, a whole hot and delicious pizza. My friend had a chicken sandwich, which looked great. We shared some warm chocolate chip cookies about halfway through the movie. I wanted to order a bottomless popcorn, but when I saw the bowl's size, I should have considered ordering that instead of the pepperoni pizza. Make sure to remember the next time I come back to get an appetizer, a bottomless bowl of popcorn, and those warm chocolate chip cookies.
Overall, I had a great time; I'm looking forward to coming back to see one of the other movie party nights during the Christmas season. I can't recommend this theater enough because it is not a regular movie theater. Prices at movie theaters are high enough these days, but when you have an Alamo Drafthouse where the food is made to order and brought to you and is of high quality, it's something that I can't recommend enough. I can't wait to go back, and I hope it's very soon.
