I really like this theater. They check all of the boxes for me. Clean, organized and a thorough menu of items for everyone to enjoy no matter the dietary restriction. To be able to enjoy a movie with a kale salad was icing on the cake. If I could, I would see every movie here. The staff was professional, efficient and pleasant. The seats were comfy with a great recline, If they were heated, I would’ve cried. The restrooms were plentiful and clean. And what I did appreciate was gratuity was not forced but after the service we received how could you not. 10/10 Alamo. This theatre is a true gem. I would definitely come back and I highly recommend.
First time at this cinema, and the concept is really good. Everything works pretty well. The bad point is the quality of the food, which is not great to be honest, especially for the price.
But it's still cool to do it from time to time.
The cinema itself doesn't differ from others except for the food.
But I will say, I LOVE THE DECORATION!!!
Our experience watching the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was amazing! So happy we came here to spend the evening. We were provided different items that were symbolic of different parts of the movie—a pine scented car freshener, a small American flag, a glow stick, and a sparkly red or green tie. And our servers were so kind! Great experience overall, thank you so much.
As a Season Pass holder I already drank the Alamo Drafthouse koolaid. Having only visited five of the 35 locations I can say that I enjoy the local theme to each site. What I found especially kitschy and cute in the Crystal City theater were the portraits in the hall of cinematic presidents. And as always I love the classic movie posters and truffle popcorn.
Great atmosphere, decor, and vibes. Their food is tasty. I enjoy how often they host screening events and well planned themed menus and activities. Fantastic movie theaters, thanks!
Food is not good. Just warm microwaved frozen food. Cocktails not worth the price and despite ordering the same cocktail three times (twice at the bar and once in the theater) each cocktail came out completely different. Ticket prices are good and the seats are comfortable.
Love baby day Tuesdays. My 5 month old and I went and saw Wild Robot. The staff is friendly and it's clean. We even got a photo op on the red carpet with a sandworm.
Alamo is the best movie theater in the DMV! The seats are comfortable, the picture quality is amazing, and the food is superior to any offerings from AMC and Regal albeit a bit pricy. Another point on food, their popcorn is the best as they use real clarified butter and not the coconut oil solution used by most theaters. And the theater has waiters that will bring the food to you so no need to wait in long lines!
Plus the theater has a strict no talking or texting policy. This means you won't have to worry about disrespect attendees ruining the movie with incessant disruptions.
If you are look for a sublime movie-goer experience, look no further than Alamo!
