We haven't been to Alamo Cafe in years and our recent visit did not disappoint.
The drinks alone are worth going for but the food was very good too. The staff were very nice and our server was super attentive. Will definitely return!
Prior to the entree being served fresh warm flour tortillas and crispy hot tortilla chips were available on the table with salsa. The salsa was very good had just enough bite but not too harsh for the weak at heart!
The entrees were served promptly and a nice cooked temperature without being overly hot.
The Spanish rice was very good, the refried beans were good as was the guacamole. Soft brisket tacos or extremely good. The crispy soft tacos we're very good with plenty of lettuce and cheese and fixings.
All the meals were aesthetically pleasing!
Service was very good with our server attentive to make sure all drinks were refilled.
It has been over 10 years since I last dined at Alamo Cafe. Not the same. The food tends to have moved to the "fufu" side.
Wow what a great experience. The food and staff keep me and my partner coming back. When you go ask for Marci to be your waiter he is the best. He works hard and always gets your order right. He’s attentive to the table and we never have to ask for refills on anything.
We visited this restaurant as a large group for a birthday celebration. We were not made aware that they were shortstaffed, therefore, servicewas slow. We don’t blame the person who was servicing our tables, it was not his fault, but unfortunately, this made or visit less enjoyable. The food is good and seasoning and an authentic Tex-Mex flavor. The flour tortillas are delicious. The location is very convenient and the access is convenient, as well as the parking. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and conducive to good conversations with friends. the menu is extensive so there are many choices for all different kinds of tastes. I’m gonna say that we will get back and give it another chance and probably inquire about availability of staff before we decide to stay.
Had our Mothers Day lunch there. Service was fast, and the food was fresh. Margarita was delicious! Salsa was super ???? ????
05JAN24: Only trying new restaurants this new year, stopped here for lunch with a co-worker. It wasn't a bad experience or bad food. Everything was just - middle of the road mediocre.
Not busy today, had to flag down our server for drink refills. My fish tacos was bland, like I could only taste the taco and cabbage. Not sure what the white sauce was; but couldn't taste it.
The food was like if a chain restaurant that didn't specialize in Tex-Mex served Tex-Mex.
Looking around, there were no Hispanic patrons or servers.
The tortillas were good though.
My family loves this restaurant. Marci took such good care of us yesterday. He was timely and had a great attitude. Will definitely be back for the food AND the service.
