The Shawarma Pizza!
Yes! You read that right! They have a shawarma pizza and it’s delicious. I was in Hartford visiting a friend and traveled 40 minutes for this. The entire way here we kept asking each other. Is it worth it but before even taking the first bite just by looking at it, we know it was, and sure enough it exceeded all of our expectations.
I have an eating disorder that I struggle with at different times in my life so I was nervous before I even entered. I get nervous eating around others. Those fears melted away when I reached the counter, the woman who helped me was kind, friendly and caring, all the others I observed were so friendly, a man came out and checked on me at one point, I can never forget how happy I was when I visited this place as a suggestion from a cherished veteran friend of mine, I had the chicken swarma on recommendation from the staff as I was having trouble deciding because I was saving money for attending WWE smackdown moments later, oh my God the food there is so yummy, I want more lol I am impressed! By their food and the entire atmosphere overall. They place awesome music videos too. I was wiggling in dance in my chair and singing too, it is that awesome there, the building is surrounded in a field of love and I could feel it, Hartford is full of love
We asked them to keep the pizza in for a little bit more since it didnt look fully cooked when they first gave it to us. Then we saw the pizza was literally burnt when we came home, unfortunately we didnt check the pizza for the second time as we trusted them with their service. I’m only asking why would you give your customer a burnt pizza on purpose?
The edges were super crusty, burnt and dried out, NOT EDIBLE AT ALL. We had to cut them off. The dough is too thin and not enough cheese at all. As you can see in the photo there’s a HUGE crust like ??????? The worst pizza I’ve ever had, never buying from this place again. For dinner we had to order another pizza from another halal place.
This is my second negative experience at this restaurant
They do not follow your food allergies instructions about sauces in a sándwich and that is unacceptable!
Chicken shawerma was soggy, extremely salty
Spinach Pie was burnt
What a waste of money!
Great shawarma and falafel gyros and platters. They have several pizza and dessert options. The food is always yummy and the place is open late (1am). The dine-in space is decent with several tables. The price is very reasonable and the staff are friendly. The place is located in Hartford right off of I-91 (a quick detour to grab a takeout meal).
I went here for a takeout, and I have to say, you gotta wait for at least 50 minutes for anything to come out. Secondly, the food has no salad, its 5 pieces of lamb and 99% rice with barely any salads to add with that. They dont even include the hot sauce as well. I reccomend looking elsewhere if you want gyro!
This place is absolutely amazing. The mixed platter was pretty good. The hummus was really good too.
The pizza was amazing. The crust was crispy and the sauce and toppings were very flavorful. The employees were friendly and helpful too.
Their baklava was delicious as well.
Would highly recommend!
Food always good! Never had their pizza only halal/Mediterranean but the way I see people go here intentionally for pizza I know it must be good. Maybe next time. For now , great place to satisfy gyro , platters, kabob, shawarma needs !!
