Best WLM Reviews
As a student at UW, I have been going to Aladdin's for a few years now. It is infamous for serving good food to many hungry post partiers until the late hours of the night. I never really thought of reviewing it, because its ALADDINS. But realistically, it has lost it's charm a bit over time, with the hit-or-miss quality of the food becoming more apparent, and the realization that the value proposition isn't the best.
This most recent visit I procured the Dinner special platter, which included some great baba ghanoush, some average rice, and some disappointingly dry, but flavorful meat. It wasn't a bad meal by any means, but I've had better elsewhere, especially for the price at $20 (incl. extra pita).
Unless you're consuming the classic Aladdin fries (which ARE a great value and don't have an equal anywhere else in the area), putting yourself through the long line and honestly quite unkempt interior isn't super worth it unless you're going purely for the experience.
Definitely the best gyro I've ever had. Cost $10 dollars, and had more heavily seasoned, flavorful turmeric covered gyro meat than one could handle. It was ridiculous how much of this incredible meat they gave you.
The fresh, nicely grilled pita bread held up well. The yogurt sauce and real, fresh Shredded herbs, lettuce, and red onions made this gyro undeniably number 1. Must try!
Great little stop for a very tasty shawarma. I ordered the chicken wrap combo and paid with cash (get a free water). Wrap was stuffed full of chicken and the sauce was amazing.
Alladins is always so great. I graduated UW in 2020 and spent 2016-2020 frequenting alladins for alladin fries and lentil soup and falafel. Yesterday my sister and I went back after not going for 4 years and it was still so so good. The service is amazing too. The man running the register was so kind and helpful. We love both locations.
The worst Greek food I’ve ever ordered. The “Greek salad” was just lettuce, tomato, and pickles. No olives, feta, or cucumber. Pickles were not listed on the menu. It was basically hamburger toppings thrown into a container. They forgot my soup too, so I was charged $20 for soggy cheeseburger toppings. Look at the photos and tell me that is not false advertising… Oh and they didn’t answer when I tried to call and let them know about the issues which is why I’m leaving this review. It was 1am and I am pretty sure the guys working don’t own the place or care about providing quality food (or at least edible!) and definitely don’t care about resolving an issue they caused
Had 2 chicken shawarmas, and chicken tenders with fries. Portion sizes are pretty big and perfect for the price.
The wait for our order was pretty lengthy, likely because it was a Friday night.
Hands down to the food quality and generous portions at this restaurant. I was amazed to see so many choices in vegetarian section when I’m used to see onky falfa and may be one more item in usual Mediterranean food spots. Both the items we ordered were full of flavors and one of the best I’ve had in the city. Chai was okay more on the green tea side.
Ambience: the space is small though they are working on expansion. The inside section is very traditionally decorated giving the middle eastern vibes with carpet and couches under a fabric roof decor. Lovely spot to hang out in a group.
It’s a bustling place, one time we went in a group and couldn’t go in due to the long line; this time the line was short so glad we were able to sit and enjoy a meal.
Price: reasonable prices in the location
Customer service: very friendly, fast service
Best Gyro place in Seattle! Been a customer since the 90s.
