The service was very fast, and employees were friendly. For the food, this was the BEST fish I have ever had. I have never had fish like this crispy on the outside and soft and flaky inside. The cod and whiting were great, but Cod was my favorite. The onions and peppers added to the experience providing a layer of flavors I couldn't begin to describe. There are not a lot of side options, but you will NOT be disappointed! It's a simple menu, thus the fast service. The only reason I gave a 4star for the atmosphere is because there is no seating, pick up only. I would have loved to sit and eat my food fresh but had to wait til I got home????.
The fish from here is amazing. The order size is worth the price. The onions and peppers add fantastic flavor to whatever you want to eat them with. The staff is fast, not overly friendly, but not cold either, professional. They are fast and the place is clean. I have no criticisms.
Nestled on a corner of the hustle and bustle of Liberty and Race in Cincinnati, Ohio is an unassuming restaurant with a secret...they have the best damn fish in the city and all for a reasonable price.
For about 13 bucks you get crispy and fluffy fish, tasty peppers, and fries.
You won't find seating here. You won't find a fake smile on the cashier's face either. Not that it is terrible service and it is quite refreshing to have someone take your order without placating you. It's real and kind of charming.
And they know that the staff is not the highlight. They don't bother with much else than giving the customer really great fish. And peppers. And fries.
I tried the Cod dinner, and it was a bit dry for my liking. The fries and bread were below average tasting. It's a takeout only restaurant. Also, the tartar sauce that comes with the dinner is not enough, get extra.
Can’t go downtown without getting some Alabama’s. You can get whitening, cod or perch dinners. I always get whitening for myself and perch for the kids. Whitening has bones, so be careful. It’s always made to order so it’s piping hot, every time. You’ll never get cold/ old food from here. You get your food pretty fast also. Go in( there will be a line) place your order, they’ll give you a ticket number, wait for that number to be called then turn your ticket in exchange for your food.

I never ever come through or stay in Cincy without getting some Alabama’s! Food is hot, fresh and Delicious! And it has been consistently for YEARS! The only change has been the increase in price. When I went today and saw the prices my jaw dropped- but it’s worth every penny!
This place has fallen off from just 5 yrs ago. The PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS to say the least. 17+ for a 5 small piece cod !??! C'mon now. I asked for fresh drop fish and was told by the elderly man at the counter said quickly, "It's all fresh dropped." It wasn't. I asked for 1 extra tartar sauce (besides it being super small), and the total came up to 20$ !! I understand inflation, but dang it. It definitely wasn't worth the trip and the parking ???? Let's not even talk about trying to park. Use to be free to park on that side of downtown Cincinnati. Not anymore lol
I think the prices are ridiculous for what you're getting plus the drive from the suburbs downtown and you end up with some baby perch LOL the whiting's okay
