Best WLM Reviews
Absolutely one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Next time, we would sit at the attached bar, but this time, we sat in their dining area.
This was NOT the cracker thin crispy crust I was craving, and not what I remember from prior visits. So disappointed. Top was very nicely done, looked promising - but crust was too think and barely cooked.
This is true classic 'Chicago Tavern Style' Pizza. We order carry-out from here whenever we are in the Western Suburbs, it is worth driving for. Always call ahead, at least 40 minutes. Service is fantastic. They take credit cards.
Let’s begin with the place, half of the building you will find the pizzeria and in the other half a bar..LOVE IT!!. We ordered the pizza and then through the doors to the bar. The only delivery option is to the bar hahaha.
Now, let’s talk about the pizza… simply, DELICIOUS!!! The BEST pizza in the whole state; thin crispy and tasty crust, I didn’t want to miss a bite; excellent quality ingredients, cheese, Canadian bacon, sauce, mushrooms… you won’t regret the trip to this lovely place, give it a try!!
OK.....SO.....I've read through the reviews AND... it was as all the 5 stars said it would be....AWESOME! DELICIOUS!! & AMAZING!!! What ever happened with the 1, 2, 3, 4 stars reviews probably were a fluke....because this place wasn't anything other then a 5 star thin crust pizza joint! Seriously though I would recommend Al's in Warrensville to anyone looking for some good pizza to pick up on the way home when Rosities and Papa Saverios has warn its welcome in your house....you'll find a happy and permanent solution for your pizza night!!!! And I love me some pizza!!!!!
Not sure what is going on but our $30 pizza was not what we’ve come to expect from Al’s — skimpy cheese and sauce is off. So disappointed.
been coming here since covid...have always just order dominos hey dont judge me its on the way from work to home lol
ever since we ate, good bye $10 for two dominos three topping, hello Al pizze 16' pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms!! they do NOT and i repeat they do NOT skimp the toppings, every time you can hardly see the cheese lol
the pizza is simply, just delicious! we love the thin crisspy and tasty crust! with excellent quality ingredients, and oh the cheese!
you wont regret it!
please call ahead, especially on the weekends. there is a 40min wait normally on weekdays and weekends i had waited from 1hr to even 2.5hr for a pizza LOL
by the way, Al pizza is like a house, half of the house is Al pizza and the other half is a bar...lol
I’m shocked at what I just witnessed waiting for a pizza here. A young male worker bringing a pizza to the bar came back with the same pizza, stating that a few pieces fell on the floor. The girl who seemed to be in charge, was noticeably angry, and asked which ones? The boy told her the few that fell, and then three different female workers proceeded to touch all of the pizza pieces moving them back into place. Then the girl in charge, who was also touching the pizza, told him to put it aside for five minutes and then just bring it to the table. Which is what happened after it sat on the shelf. Another young male worker had also chimed in and said, “I told him not to even say anything and just take it to the table”.
Everyone had been taking payments and then touching/making food. I never realized how unsanitary their process is even without this horror that transpired in front of me.
Al’s was in my regular rotation for years. I will never order from here again. There are essentially children running this area of the restaurant alone and this contributes to a serious health department violation bc they clearly don’t care or have knowledge about handling food. Unless the adults who work here have the same values in service and customer respect. Yikes. You’ve lost me forever and others please take heed. This is how you get sick.
There are so many honest, upfront ways to have rectified this. Mainly that should have involved telling the customer(s) who are eating that pizza right now, having paid for it and are leaving a tip.
This happened in front of other waiting customers who watched in shocked silence. Bystander effect on this one bc we waited for our already paid for pizzas with hawk eyes and left. Who knows how often this must happen to trusting, unsuspecting loyal customers, bc this was way too casual. Who knows what happens while they are being made, but I’ll try not to think about it and eat my last Al’s pizza, grateful that I was early for the pick up. There is no coming back from that.
