Best WLM Reviews
A lovely diner that we absolutely loved. Old fashioned food and prices, exactly how you'd expect it to be, in a good way. We will come back to try other things! Their cheeseburger, fries and onion rings were delicious. Good prices too. We ate outside, there were lots of tables in the back, which was nice.
This drive-in style, 50s themed restaurant was hopping on the Saturday afternoon we visited.
Surprisingly, our wait time was nearly nonexistent.
The staff was friendly. The restaurant was surprisingly clean considering the foot traffic.
We ordered grilled cheese (which we were informed was intended for kids-it tasted like it) and the largest offering of fries.
We were excited by the prospect of homemade fries, but we were a bit let down. They weren’t fresh and tasted just OK. Perhaps this was just an anomaly. Fries on other tables DID look a little better than ours.
However, a restaurant with “fries” in its name should be strict about discarding fries past their fry-time prime.
The reasonable prices make it worth a gamble.
For a place that is supposed to be good and a decent value, it really wasn't either. We ordered food for two people and shakes and soft drinks and came out to 50 bucks which feels like a lot for a place that seems so cheap. While my burger was fine, the fries were good, and the shakes were tasty, nothing else was very good. We got the pepper steak which had a couple tiny pieces of pepper and onion on it and the minute steak which was fine, however they messed up the toppings on them. We both left feeling hungry and stopped somewhere else for a snack.
The hamburger itself is thin but the bun makes the burger. It tasts like the buns are home made. Fries are super crispy!
If I were hungrier, I could have eaten two - and my son three.
They also have ice cream, which is really good, too. Definitely worth a stop!
Loved the retro 1950’s restaurant ! The burgers was smaller than I expected but delicious! The fries are generously portioned and with the vinegar YUMMY!
LOVE this place, and plan on visiting again if I'm ever up in Burlington again. The cheeseburgers are great, and your classic style cheeseburger you wish you could get your backyard BBQ event burgers tasting like.. and their fries are awesome, but what's really awesome is that they have cheese & gravy sauce for dipping them. The gravy sauce I would say is better than the cheese.
Fast and good service! It does get pretty busy. Good burgers, hotdogs and french fries! Smaller size burger, I recommend getting 2 if you are hungry. A true staple of Vermont (Burlington) for best burgers and french fries! A must try if you are visiting the area!
Sandwiches are small, but value is strong. Mocha shake good. Grilled cheese bony worth the $1.88.
