I generally don't write bad reviews, but this was not a good experience at all. We ordered two mixed drinks, they were mostly soda and soda water, and some juice. I am not sure there was alcohol in them at all. The bartenders response was, next time order a double. How about just make the drinks correctly... I ordered a Beyond burger, it was not cooked and cold in the center. The other bartender removed the burger from our tab. The screen pictured waffle fries, I ordered a regular fry. They came out hand cut fries. When I got the bill I was charged for a large. At this point I just wanted to go. Atmosphere was cool. Live music was decent, I liked the dj more.
Nice beach atmosphere considering it is right on the beach. We walked in, sat at a table and waited, not realizing you have to walk up to the bar to order. The cheeseburgers were good but the meat was small compared to the bun. The fries were good as well. We ordered 2 of the rum buckets and really enjoyed both of them.
Al's is one of my fave places to eat on the Boardwalk and one of my fave places to eat in FWB if I don't want to eat seafood. I love their cheeseburgers and fries. I've been here many times while staying in FWB for drinks and lunch or a casual dinner. It's right on the beach and by the boardwalk. There's nightly entertainment in the summer. It's all outdoor seating and right by the sand and near the ocean. It's super casual with a big wrap around bar but kids are welcome, and they have games and activities to entertain the kids. We like to go on Tuesday nights when they have movies on the beach. They feature a kids' movie. I love the cheeseburgers here and fries but I probably like the sweet potato fries a little better than the regular ones. My kids love their macaroni and I tried it and it is very creamy and cheesy! If you want something healthy the salads here are also good. They have beachy drinks that are good too. My fave is probably the mojito. You place your food order at the bar and then get a pager that goes off when your food is done. The food takes awhile to get out and the service at the bar to get drinks and ordering is on the slow side but the quality of the cheeseburger is on par and satisfies my taste for red meat if and when I get tired of grouper while in FWB lol.
I really enjoyed my stay here, very fun, great place to spend time on the beach and grab a burger for lunch.
The food was great! A bit pricy but overall had a great taste and was served hot. They also show movies on the beach! My family and I were able to have this experience for the first time so Thank you Al’s ! Customer service is also very friendly, everyone is warm, welcoming and helpful.
Live entertainment every night of the week. We were not charged a cover. Check them out for great burgers, fries, and music (everything is a la carte). Also dining with a view of the ocean is a plus. Oh and don't forget to order a milkshake. They have adult milkshakes that are delightfully delicious. Try the strawberry shortcake one and relax after a day at the beach????
I loved the band they sang all genre of music. I loved it. But the burger was not good at all. Very disappointing ????
Excellent food and excellent view. We had lunch in this laid back atmosphere restaurant. Their “famous” grilled chicken sandwich was delicious - but you MUST get the coleslaw side! Enjoyed our time and will be back; it just seemed a little pricey for lunch.
