This restaurant is one of my favorite. Very home cooked middle eastern style foods. It is truly a gem and serving size is so big you can have it for later too. If you don't try it, you're missing out lol. Honestly, I like it not being busy so it's better for me because there's never a wait. However if you find yourself at this restaurant, don't be surprised if you become addicted. By the way, you get your choice of rice ( there's like 6 different kinds), your choice of protein (there's like 10 different kinds), comes with soup and salad all for under $20. There you go! Simple food with great flavor. You get rice, meat, salad and soup for only 15.99. I always get what the server refers to as "beef steak." Best beef I've ever had. So tender the way they cook it. There's enough for 3 meals.
I tasted their food in my friend’s wedding, food was delicious but everyone noticed that the food came to the reception VERY late, my wife and I asked where was the food from and decided to order food from them for our son’s birthday for 30 people so we called a week ahead to order the food and confirmed everything, then we called again the day before the birthday to confirm that they will make the food and what time it will be ready “they said 2pm” I arrived there at 2 pm asked for my food to pickup NO ONE knows about the order to the point I thought I was in the wrong place and asked “isn’t this Al Rasoul Restaurant”?
They said “yes” and tried to sell me food for the 30 people with a totally different price and different food and I refused, and had to buy food from a different restaurant.
That was very disappointing and unprofessional!
To be honest their food is delicious, but catering is awful based on my two experiences!

Had a Whole Lamb with 2 types of Rice and Salad -catered buffet style at my home.
Food excellent, tastes superb, presentation beautiful, and Management very friendly.
Recommended to all who were at the gathering.
This spot has been running for 25 years for a reason. Don’t let the lack of Yelp reviews fool you. I’ve been hitting up every local spot in Nashville and this was the single best plate of food I’ve had. Super affordable and the flavors were spectacular. Great variety and a beautiful staff working there. Such a pleasure getting to know these folks and I look forward to coming back to this spot.
