Best WLM Reviews
Ever since moving to NY a year ago, this spot had been a staple on nights we get take out. Their haleem and naan never disappoints. Great portions for the price and always consistent in the taste. I’d highly give them a try.
This is a great hole in the wall with authentic Pakistani food with a simple menu so the food is fresh. Serves meat and vegetarian dishes. The beef Pilau is finger licking good (available only on the weekends). It's right next to the F train on Parsons Blvd. They have 2-3 dishes that are available every day but I recommend calling a head to ask for the daily special. Al Mehan truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ingredients used here are of the highest quality. Each dish is crafted with care, ensuring that flavors burst forth in every bite. Whether you’re a fan of aromatic spices or crave something milder, this restaurant caters to all palates.
I’ve ordered beef nihari and keema naan for lunch. Keema naan tasted good but it came out very messy. It was broken. All the stuffings came outside. Beef nihari was okay but the portion size was small according to the price. The order came with salad and raita sauce.
RARE FIND - AMAZING FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Mehran restaurant in Jamaica which delivered a truly memorable experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff. Their friendly demeanor and eagerness to ensure a pleasant dining experience set the tone for the entire visit. It’s clear they take pride in their hospitality, making every guest feel valued.
The food itself was the star of the show. Each dish was a vibrant blend of authentic Indian/Pakistani flavors, showcasing the chefs’ undeniable expertise and passion for their craft. You can taste the dedication in every bite—whether it’s the perfectly spiced biryani, tender chicken karahi, or the rich and creamy butter naan. The flavors were bold and perfectly balanced, leaving me eager to try more. I would highly recommend their nehari with garlic naan.
One of the standout aspects of this restaurant is its incredible value for money. I couldn’t believe the prices and quality compared to other similar places I’ve been to in the city. Despite offering high-quality, authentic cuisine, the prices are some of the most reasonable in the area. This combination of affordability and excellence is a rare find, making it an ideal choice for both casual meals and special occasions.
The cherry on top is that they also have ample dine-in space for their customers and a sanitary bathroom! If you’re from the city, you know this a great luxury!
Overall, this Pakistani restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. With its friendly staff, passionate chefs, delicious food, and unbeatable prices, it’s a place I’ll happily return to and recommend to others. If you’re looking for great tasting desi food that doesn’t compromise on quality or break the bank, this is the place to go!
I’ve carried out food from here a few times now and it’s generally good. The biryani and kababs are spicy and seasoned well. The meat station has overly oiled food.
My recommendations to improve the space is that hygiene needs work. The staff don’t wear gloves when handling naan or kabobs rolls. Saw the older gentleman walk in from outside and go prepare a roll for a customer without washing his hands or gloves.
The quality and deliciousness of the food is there. Simply need better practices of hygiene and to reduce the oil quantities in the meat station (I.e. nihari).
One of the best spots to get a wrap! Better than going to a deli and paying close to 10 bucks when you can get a kebab wrap for 3.50 here! Delicious hand made fresh naan too
I had delicious fish here. Service is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!
I’m from France ,I was passing by and I tried this restaurant and I had the most beautiful experience .
the food was extremely delicious and clean. The employees are very professional and nice they were very helpful because my English not very good .
